George Washington Bridge is at a standstill with multiple accidents reported.

2” here in suosset 4 pm. Puking right now. Wife said the south shore where she works is over 3”. Need someone to confirm

I don't like to bad mouth the NWS Mt Holly, but they finally have put a WSW for lehigh valley and upper bucks county. Not sure what they have been waiting for, but those alerts do make a difference to preparations and closures.

Wow, full fledged snowstorm now. Looks like the NE winds are persisting. Seems like a meso scale coastal front is along the Jersey coast bending NE then east just south of Long Island. Look at the winds over southern NJ and then over us. NNJ east thru Long Island all NE predominantly.

its nuts we have at least 2 inches everyone is get stuck roads untreated. McLean ave is a parking lot anyone in yonkers avoid it.

In Elmira (20 miles east of me and 50 miles west of Binghamton) they have a stretch of I86 with all lanes closed due to multiple accidents. Was everybody really caught off guard that badly?

It's not the surface temps that will define this, it's if the mid levels can stay cold enough. That's what will determine whether the border areas get several inches or a prolonged period of sleet and freezing rain that would hold down accumulations.

I’m finally home and I measure 3.5” of snow with snow still falling.

Why would any sane normal human being want to see people get into accidents?

If we’re gonna over perform like this today then we need to send Frank to Nashville every storm threat the rest of the winter.

we are over 2 inches of snow right now and the winds are picking up!

I was on RT 280 west up the big hill in WO. Got off and very slowly made it home. That was @ 3 PM. Right now, forget it. Seemed like a layer of ice formed pretty quickly at the onset.

if anyone is driving home from work please drive safe because the roads and highs are very icy

Its near whiteout here kid u not wife stuck for over 3 hrs from Bronx zoo area to daughters school. Emergency can't get through. Syo I agree its hilarious seeing these dumb drivers one guy on my street got pissed and started ramming the car in front of him!! On purpose. We have got to have 3 plus.
