Re: Banter Thread 5.0
I think we have to stick with this until the pattern turns against us. I don't like what I'm seeing for Christmas Eve but hopefully that has time to change between now and then.
Mid 40's and an inch or two of rain the day before Christmas would really be a kick in the ass.

this elf thing was a good hack. Kudos to Santa!
Just walked the dog. 23° with a wonderful coating of snow on the ground. I love winter. I love cold weather.

Beautiful atmospheric (no pun intended) snow fall this afternoon IMBY. It's only supposed to snow for a few hours with no accumulation but it is pretty. 33 feels like 33. No wind.

I just wanted to say thanks Frank for the badge...and I do solemnly swear to uphold the tenants of enthusiasm and regard for my fellow weenies to the best of my abilities!
And also, thanks CP for nominating me for best attitude on the board a few days ago. Personally, my vote would go to your LHV comrade docstox. That is one grounded individual right there. But I did greatly appreciate the mention...thanks again!
The bottom line for me is that this forum, and the people on it, specialize in how to think like pro's and how to treat each other with great kindness. I constantly find myself learning important lessons from you all on both fronts that I can and do apply to my daily life. Constantly.
Cheers!!

That should be great to see!
I still have my Tasco 4 inch refractor telescope from 1965 that I spent many a cold night as a young teen looking at Saturn's rings, the moons of Jupiter, and the canals of Mars when it approached closely. It was great for the lunar landscape as well.Astronomy is a fascinating hobby.

I was so tired when I saw ur maps said poo, I literally thought you were saying there was gonna be a poo storm of...well...pooo. No jk but Frank what is your obsession with poo this year? are we 2 yrs old? LOL I think it's hilarious you pulled that out of nowhere, it makes me laugh everytime I see it so I guess we all have some 2 yr old in us lol. Its a great way to point out the poo and the snow, though the line in between could get messy...

UGH, looks like the Grinch is out to steal my White Christmas! A few days of sun near 40, then 50's and a soaking rain Christmas Eve of 1 to 2 inches.Don't think my snowpack will survive that.Only hope now is a changeover to snow Christmas Day with a covering of white.Snowpack dropped a few inches yesterday with temps nearing 40 with sun.

Re: Banter Thread 5.0
This past weekend temps for Christmas Eve were rainy and warmer with a huge drop in temps on Christmas day, but now Christmas is saying temps in the 50s too. The snow storm was a week too late, it would have been nice this week instead.

I am really f'in pissed at some of you. I get chastised for complaining when things do not work out my way with snow (And this last storm I wasn't too happy with the outcome but I kept it i ncheck for the most part. But god forbid I make a thread alerting people of a event we all, including me do not like for xmas and I get pooped all over for it!! I thought we tracked one storm at atime? Well its a storm, and potentially impactful. I thought making a thread so people that did not want to see it did not have to but apparently certain people who will remain nameless go look anyways when they hate to think of it. Thats self mutilation that's not my fault, your self destructive. Its a free country yes but don't be hippocrits. Jesus.

Re: Banter Thread 5.0
I know the thread was meant as a joke between two old time board members but it did take a bit of an attacking personal turn. That’s why I deleted it. If anyone has any specific issues please feel free to PM me or Frank or any of the other moderators.

Apologies JMan. My comments were a bit of fun with no intent to harm. If they did, sorry. Respect you too much otherwise! It seems like a dangerous storm and we need to be aware. Thats the frustrating part. Melting of our snow! Happy Holidays

I totally missed the joke, and yes the melting of the snow does stink though its already almost gone here, most grass is showing and nothing but dirty piles left. It appeared to me that it was not trying to be nice, my apologies too. Scott no explanation necessary, if it was a joke I do not get the humor on here lolGrselig wrote:jmanley32 wrote:I am really f'in pissed at some of you.
