November 2021 Obs & Discussions

Still very paltry snow depth for most of the Northeastern US.  Unless you are in the higher elevation areas this is generally < 2" OTG. Very slow start.

Light snow has commenced here in Allendale NJ - 3 days in a row with snow for the end of November is a record for me up here I would assume

27* low this morning and currently 38* saw a couple of flurries flying..kuddos to those who saw flakes again today!! Happy Tuesday!

Stopped snowing in Stillwater NJ at 1190 feet altitude, holding at 32 degrees, light dusting on grass and bushes did not stick to road . Heading up to the APPALACHIAN trail to do a little hiking on top of Mt Paradise 1605 altitude, will send more pictures if more snow up there!
Is the Hazlet Mountain Ski resort open yet ?

45 here at 3 pm but surprisingly it is flurrying.

Had snow showers today, one heavy one earlier this afternoon.

It snowed for just about four hours straight  here today.  Nothing stuck, because it was above freezing the entire time, but it was lovely to watch!

Three days in a row of snow falling from the sky here as well.

Well went up to the top


of the mountain off the APPALACHIAN trail  and there is about a inch of snow everywhere, definitely colder maybe 29-30 degrees, snow makes everything nicer, Good Luck !

My old place in Morristown got some snow today. Now that I’m in JC…going to take a lot more for me to see accumulation

My parents had about 2” in the Poconos, my dad said. Y’all did better than me, though; I stayed completely dry down here on LBI lol

Rb I noticed that our radar for coastal ocean county was lit up in blue for a while late Saturday night. Around midnight the app said it was actually snowing. So now I’m like, I gotta get up and check this out! Woot woot! But alas, not a single flake or droplet appeared to fall from the night sky. So after squinting into the dark back yard for about 20 minutes at 1 in the morning, I slinked back into bed and thought quietly to myself: Am I fool for just doing that? Nah. It’s just that This. Is. The. Life. I. Live.

November turned out to be a relatively cold month. That was mostly driven by the last two weeks.

This was how I felt in March 2018 when I was living in an apartment in Manhattan while my folks 15 miles east of me were getting in on the snow. You may recall all the times I vented my frustration about me being in the urban heat island which each storm we got.
