I wonder if ocean effect develops additional bands to delay the dry slot. Just an observation

Cold air will win. No doubt.

No rain whatsoever. EURO last night was correct. All other models were too warm

Frank, I have al the faith in the world in your abilities and knowledge and I am perplexed as a public that they keep harping on the warmer solution - are they that stubborn and thick or is it politics - JESUS H - people are going to be in trouble.

Okay what ids the story with the coastal flooding - two - three high tides? I am worried for these folks with the NE winds and the fragility of our coastline - this is something IMO that is not being talked about and underestimated by our local pro mets!

It stopped!

I just glanced up and see nothing falling from the sky.

Let's see how long it lasts.

Frank - I though Saturday was just a chance of flurries? Oh, I see, there's a 40% chance of snow Friday overnight into Saturday, then flurries in the morning. I'm so glad I don't have any little kids at home!

ETA - Nevermind. In the time it took to write this post, the rain started up again.

Took a measurement on where there was no snow before (on my deck) and it slopes from 9" to 12" so I'm going to use average it and say 10.5" here as of snow, still snow/sleet (75%:25%) respectively.

CMC is north like the GFS for the CCB. This is partly why my confidence is still low for it.

Just measured in west orange. Walkway that had no snow yesterday is about 13-14" now (hard to tell, only have a 12" ruler). Road has 8" as the plows haven't been down in a while.

Roads on my street (residential loop street, not a thru road) are less than an inch, plows really keeping up here and passing often, doing well so far.

Mugs:

Just came in from measuring, 6.5 inches now, almost 3 inches in the last hour. 20 degrees here so ratios must be insane.

I posted yesterday and I think it may be coming into play here 29-33 degree sea water must not have been factored into this, water is usually 38-40 this time of year, I don't know if the modes have that data or just use historical average. Granted it wont prevent mid level warmup but I have to believe it's keeping the shore towns colder. Just a thought.

Another great call by Frank and all the other experst on this board yourself included. I hardly look at the pro forecasts anymore and haven't for several years back to our accuweather days.

7 people injured in major 4 alarm fire in eastchester portion of the bronx.  The wind is going to make it a real issue to put it out and stop it from spreading.
