"Northeast Snowstorms" Candidates for Cases?
"Northeast Snowstorms" Candidates for Cases?
So I have been reading "Northeast Snowstorms Volume II: The Cases" co-authored by Paul Kocin (formerly on the Weather Channel) and Louis Uccellini. Since it was released in 2004, I thought it was be useful to talk about recent snowstorms that should be included if it does get updated, including hits and near misses. Note: Not all of these necessarily affected NYC.

Note: Outside of this, I cannot think of any April/May northeast snowstorms since 2004 but I do have two which I believe were excluded from the book:
b) April 9, 2000
c) April 7, 2003
This is just my list. This is simply to promote discussion as to which storms deserve to be included as KU (Kocin/Uccellini) cases.

Re: "Northeast Snowstorms" Candidates for Cases?
October 4th somewhere around 1988 or so. 14 inches in the Hudson Valley from Midnight to around 7 am. Caused tons of devastation. I was up there at the time at my uncles in Pawling. Trees snapped like toothpicks from the weight and no power for weeks. national guard was called in.
