Talk about 'limping' into the playoffs.I don't think they start until next Friday (?) so even if they were playing razor sharp, they would lose it after all that time.Let's hope the rest gets their heads in the right place. This round of the playoffs is 3 out of 5 so they could quickly be down two with Griencke and Kershaw pitching. They might get past the Dodgers as the year's record of both teams are close, but then, good luck with the Cards, Cubs or Pirates as their records blow us away.We played poorly against the Cubs and Pirates all year.

I hope I'm wrong but frankly, they still have a lot of work to do to field a World Series calibre team.Anyhoo, they won the NL East and made the playoffs.Great progress in a good year. For next year, the starting pitching is solid but we need good 7th and 8th inning men.Clippard and Reed are so-so.We need a good long relief man.We also need a Cespedes type hitter who can CONSISTENTLY hit .300, 100 plus RBI and 30 plus home runs.Get a couple of guys like that, and we will be World Series bound next year!

I was in one of the suites at the last regular season game at Citi Field.  It was pretty cool.

Well, they had a two game advantage over LA for home field and blew it.I'll be away on a fishing trip with Yankee Fan buddies so I'll hear it from them if we lose.

Going to watch two great wild card games tues and weds. Will watch the Yanks-Houston to scout potential opponents if we are lucky to make it to the series.I know a little about the Yankee players but absolutely nothing about the Houston club.

Tomorrow we will see who our opponent would be in the winner of the Cub-Pirate game.

The winner of Cub/Pirate game will be playing St Louis, and I don't think either of them can beat the Cards.

Mets 2015 Season - Page 24 Empty Re: Mets 2015 Season

Excellent wild card baseball the last few days.Yankees were ahead 7 1/2 games in their division in July yet lost their division. As I had pointed out early in the season, their baggage of aging wrecks were the cause.Sabathia. Texiera going down.Beltran wasn't bad during the season notwithstanding the obligatory ninth inning playoff game choke strikeout, and A Rod continued his sub .200 hitting in crucial playoff games. The Yanks need work for next year.Keucel tied them in knots throwing junk.

Incredible pitching performance by Arietta.A full macho nine inning game, a rarity these days. These Cubs have a great young team and a great manager.Tough assignment now against the Cards, powerhouse 100 game win team.

Wow, crazy things happened last night, KC and Toronto both lose! Could the battleground for AL Champs be Texas?

Crucial for the Mets to win at least one out there to have any chance at all.Very tough assignment with the killer Dodger pitching.Cubs-Cards should be a blast.Arrietta the key in that series.

I like the people on this board too, but I hate the team they root for.

I wish the people here luck also, but not their team, I suppose that's not even possible since they are intertwined.

For that reason I shall remain silent until they are either world champs or eliminated. I will take up residence on OTI until further notice.

On a different note, no snow yet in the always accurate 45 day forecast that Innaccuweather posted, I'm getting worried.

Wow, what an outing by Degrom. Both pitchers pitched well but Degrom outpitched kershaw. 7 innings with 0 runs and 13ks by Degrom. Wow. Big hr by Murphy and really big clutch 2 out 2 run single by David Wright. Familia with a clean 4 out save. It's always good to go ahead 1-0. Lets go Mets.

Syndergaard pitched a good game. The Mets should of had a double play on that ball hit to Tejeda. The rule states that if a runner interferes with a player, both the runner and the hitter is out. It would have ended the inning and the Mets would have been up 2-1 going into the 8th inning. The Mets would have probably won the game and the series would have been 2-0 instead of 1-1. That was a douchebag move by Utley. Utley missed 2nd base. I have no clue why he was called safe. This has to be the worst call ever by an ump. It cost the Mets the game.

Just saw the play and it was a dirty move.Utley was clearly out so umpires screwed up.That rule Snow 88 should have been executed. Why didn't Collins play the game under protest. He should have been out there yelling, screaming and kicking dirt at these umpires.Reminds me of the Pete Rose collision with Buddy Harrelson in '73.Best revenge now is to win the playoff series and send the Dodgers packing.

I heard Mattingly say on the radio that "Chase would never intentionally hurt a player, he just plays hard!" Yeah, right Donnie.Glad now you never got a WS ring playing as you are a lying sack of s__t.Your buddy Joe Torre disagrees with your statement.Your player's dirty slide took out our shortstop and could very well cost us any chance at a WS.

Wish I could pitch to Utley and I had a 98 MPH fastball.I'd say "I never intentionally wanted to make Utley look like Tony Conigliaro, I just throw hard and sometimes it does not go where I want it to go!"
