Re: May 2013 Casual Discussions/Observations
I think most places might out preform their daily highs for the day tommorow. Plentyful sunshine combined with a solid SW flow will create a prefect day...

Get a good look at this image below. Temps near or below freezing for many parts of the area. The marine layer will help keep Long Island warmer though. Expect widespread frost in the Hudson Valley and northwestern NJ.
Happy Mothers Day to all the moms out there. Have a great day I got my mother a lottery ticket

The last time Central Park reached a record low temperature was January 16th, 2004 when it tied the record of 1 degree. The last time Central Park broke a record low temperature was March 3rd, 2003, when it went down to 11 degrees. The record low for this Tuesday May 14th is 40 degrees back in 1878. Will this be the first time in nine years that CPK reaches record low territory? Time will tell.

Re: May 2013 Casual Discussions/Observations
I really think the most important thing for NYC to reach the record is if the winds become variable over night. If the winds stay 5-10 MPH out of the NW, i do not think they will have the radiant cooling to reach the record. But, if the winds do decrease enough with clear skies, NYC might have a chance.

Done with finals..thank god. I haven't looked at weather in awhile
Re: May 2013 Casual Discussions/Observations
Nice west wind and plentiful afternoon sun tomorrow should allow for some temps in the high 70s and low 80s. It's going to be a nice one

The pictures I'm seeing coming out of Texas, where EF-4 tornados touched down last night, are horrific. Houses completely demolished
Re: May 2013 Casual Discussions/Observations

This is a picture of the mild-wide Tornado in Texas last night!!!

Re: May 2013 Casual Discussions/Observations
Weather looks unsettled for next week. One of those weeks where there is some sun in the morning, but clouds and thunderstorms will develop in the afternoon with ample humidity.
Basically, very sucky week.
We will have to see of anything becomes severe

Hasn't stopped raining since about 12 yesterday. ESE wind off the ocean is really killing us costal people. Really dreadful weekend.
