Definitely NOT the start this team had in mind.Injuries to Cespedes, Duda, D'arnaud, Walker and Reyes can't hit worth a damn and the relief staff giving up games left and right.Collins' patience with Reyes must be running thin.I'd bench him a few days and use Flores at third.Only silver lining to this cloud is I would rather this be happening now than in mid September.Well, Lagares and Conforto now have a chance to show what they have.Hamstring injuries last a while, don't expect to see Cespedes for a couple of weeks at least.

Well last night was just ugly....errors, terrible pitching by Gsellman, and now Noah needs an MRI. What a mess. I hope they can turn it around. I really think they need someone on the team to step and be a leader for these kids...I nominate Rene, he is great with the pitching staff and can hit. Trade d'Arnaud and Jay, let Conforto be the everyday outfielder.... I also think they need Tuefel back, forget instructing the minor leaguers, these boys need help.

Now Cespedes on the DL and Noah has a dead arm?
Who the frig is the trainer or strength trainer on this team? The medical staff is pathetic.
This season rapidly going into the crapper, the Nats are running away with it so far.Think Collins has to go.Saw him on the pre game show yesterday, he was surly, nasty and just plain not into it.Hey Alderson?? You had to fire Wally Bachmann? Another bone head move like losing Murphy and Colon.

Janet, I've been a die hard since 1962, if any Met Fan thinks this season is bad, join me in a time machine back to that year,LOL.Got tickets for me, my Sis and Bro in Law for Aug 24th vs Diamondbacks.

Like I have said, I am used to the routine. We are in the World Series every roughly 15 years or so, 1969, 1986, 2000, 2016.It's a Law of Nature,LOL.LGM in the World Series of 2031.If I'm still here, I'll be cheering them on,LOL.

Since the injuries last year I have been suspicious of the training and medical teams. Who is running this team? The players seem to have taken over and think they can do what they want. Management needs to instill on the players that they are in charge and that they will be benched if they don't cooperate. There is also no "Captain" who can speak to players on behalf of the rest of the team. They are acting like spoiled brats....

Well, they had the perfect guy Wally Bachmann to kick these young guys asses into shape but another Alderson dumbass move, he was fired.Hey Alderson, how about that Bartolo trade? We sure could use him now, huh? Or losing Danny Murphy.Fire Alderson, fire Collins , get back Wally Bachmann as manager and watch what happens.

All that weight training and bulking up during the winter so he could throw harder (he already threw 101) did wonders. Great arm but dumb as a rock upstairs, this idiot actually was starting to think he was Thor, maybe his time on the DL will calm this dope down Very Happy

I blame the medical and training staff for this. They had to know the guy was lifting all winter. Some guy who knows this stuff commented he saw this train wreck coming but nobody stopped Syndegaard in his tracks. You are right CP, sometimes you gotta stick the dogs nose in the poop to make him learn. These guys with all their weight training is a joke. Babe Ruth drank gallons of beer, smoked cigars, ate dozens of hot dogs and had wild women. He walked around with a pot belly,LOL.I always remember the photo of Roger Maris in the clubhouse sitting on a table in his shorts and t shirt having a smoke,LOL.

Syndegaard has really thrown a monkey wrench in the machine. The rest of the staff is doing lousy right now and he won't be back for 3 months. The hitters are gonna have to be putting up 5 plus runs per game with these pitchers ERA right now.The releif staff looks much better though, Blevins, Reed and Familia locking in.

We've had a tough start with the Syndegaard and Cespedes and Duda injuries, but the relief staff is looking good and the hitting is picking up.I'd rather start out bad and slow in April and come on like gangbusters late August-September.All we need is a wild card place to have a shot.Way,way too early but I like what I am seeing now as opposed to two weeks ago.

Now THAT is the type of game that will move us up in the standings! Better pitching and a great hitting effort by the team.Read one Doctor thinks Noah is not as bad as thought, but will still need 3 months to heal.If Harvey, Gsellman ,DeGrom and Wheeler can hold, this team can get back in the game.

As Dean Martin once sang...."like a fellow once said, ain't that a kick in the head!" Familia did not look like his old self the other night. This could be the nail in the coffin to the season. However, in the glass half full category, Reed could step into the closer spot.Robles and Blevins could fill the 8th inning and maybe one of the other guys on the staff can be a 7th inning guy.Cespedes will be back and the other guys are hitting.Duda and Cabrera are almost there. Can't rule out a trade for a closer or 7th inning guy. It's a long way to September, anything is possible.

Another dreadful performance by Harvey.Think the guy needs a headshrinker at this point.I would give him this season to straighten out then trade him if he does not work out.Maybe another organization can help him better.I read he is mooning over a woman a guy from the Patriots is involved with, out drinking until 4 AM the day before a game and playing golf that morning.WTF was he thinking?????

As far as injuries go, well, there is no controlling that. You roll with the punches and do the best you can.

Even with all his head problems, bad performances, and injuries Harvey still has some trade value although greatly diminshed from 2015. Reyes has no trade value at this stage.

Well, the sad fact is they need Harvey with all of his warts because the pitching staff is weak.Gsellman is bad, De Grom is off, Syndegaard is out 3 months and there are injuries. No way they can get rid of him.Don't think his trade value is worth much now as the guy is on a head trip.Reyes has his issues as well, his trade value is nil at this point, so they have to keep him.Flores can't play third base, his error cost the game the other day.I think Wright is finished, he's so fragile at this stage and should retire.

Just too many injuries at this point, the latest the most devastating with Familia.Just try to keep above water and hope for better times post All Star break.

Another great start by a Mets pitcher. Degrom pitched a complete game.

The hitting isn't a problem at all lately. 6 more runs today.

Mets now have won 4 in a row and gained another game on the Nationals who just lost their 4th straight game by blowing a lead in the 9th.

8.5 back now

Lets go Mets
