Spring Indices Phenology Map 2018 Thread
Welcome to the offical Spring Indices Phenology Map Thread for 2018. Now that winter is pretty much over, its time to start tracking when the leaves are coming out!
Anywhere thats filled in has its first leaves out now as this isn't a model.

Mike luv u but have u been following the discussion in the long range thread. We aren't over my man this time next week we could be talking about 3 weeks of winter to come and maybe longer for your area and the HV peeps.
I like the map.

Just curious, if we get a late season hard freeze in the south and leaves fall off the trees, will it be reflected in the map

I am sitting on pins and needles waiting to see what tonights map brings. With the current pattern we're in I'm starting to find this to be the most interesting thread on the forum.
Will the leaves continue pressing northward or will there be a sudden suppression to the south? Inquiring minds want to know.

Re: Spring Indices Phenology Map 2018 Thread
I'm expecting to see a big push north on this map this evening in light of today's near 80* highs. I think the first bloom map may not be needed as I'm expecting to see flowers poking out of my garden this afternoon.

You should quote yourself from the last posted map so we can easily see the progression. Here is the first map you posted at the top of the thread for comparison. Looks like its exploding into the Tenn Valley

Just because the leaves are out doesn't mean it can't snow. We did get Stella last March after all.
