Re: The PLAY PEN-- Banter Thread 4.0
Father time is hot on my tail, doc! Every time he takes a bite, I say "Ouch, but can I have another?" Those bites don't feel good, but they sure do beat the alternative.
And don't be so quick to shutter OTI! Remember, we've just now hit that vaunted post-Christmas time that was supposed to start all the fun. If this atmosphere doesn't get it's act together soon, I don't think this play pen can service the sheer volume, or severity, of the case load that will head your way.
Rather than close up, you may actually want to double down and get ready for a post new years OTI crush!

Thanks Syo, looks like my pity party is done. At least until the next time I hear "Especially N and W of the city" again. But I don't see that changing anytime soon.syosnow94 wrote:Senj I hope moving forward things are better for you.

Ha...guilty, I suppose. Obsessive about snow chances IMBY and a bit obsessive about snowfall totals, too. And I really was planning/hoping to spend this week tracking something on here...so now I have nothing but time on my hands to kill all week.

Not fun tracking rain unless I'm looking for severe weather. Join us on Sunday to drown your sorrows! Play pen on the road!

It includes a sacrifice to the snow Gods! Be there or don't complain if we don't get snow!

It's my fault, I purchased a snow blower for the first time this year right after the November storm and since then we've been SOL.

Hector, Hector, Hector!! That's always the Kiss Of Death.
Any chance you can return it? It may reverse our fortunes, if you can.

I can’t endorse criminal mischief. But if it gets us snow I’d say I’ll look the other way while you do whatever you have planned with those sledgehammers.

So looks like 43* and rain in Times Square NYE. As someone who has been there more than once (regretfully) I would suggest that anyone who thinks standing in a packed Times Square for five hours in 43* rain to celebrate the new year is a good idea needs an intervention before Monday.

Do it big and go to Iceland. Can't miss up there.
I know the immediate to short term is more than bleak when the banter thread fills up 10x faster than the long range thread.

Since the weather has been less that desirable, I found an interesting youtube series of videos of a guy up in Canada who has documented his progress of building a log cabin using nothing but hand tools. Pretty amazing what people can do when they put their mind to it.
