Amugs = A SURVIVOR!!

To my NJ Weather Family,

I have received phenomenal news Monday afternoon from my oncologist. After this 6 month battle with cancer, finishing my 4 months of chemo both IV and oral pills, losing 8 pints of blood and 12" of my large intestines (that where the tumor was) and being diagnosed with Stage 3 cancer my upper body scan showed that I am clean!!

I BEAT THIS DISEASE!! (so far!!)

FU CANCER! I KICKED UR ARSE!!

I am now officially a survivor of this horrible disease. I am blessed by the God Almighty who has given me the strength to beat this disease. I have a few stories that were signs of great comfort and healing, Cardinals(red birds) at my home the day of my diagnosis, the days leading up to my surgery, and when I started chemo and a day when I had an absolute emotional and mental breakdown in September. They are said to be a sign of those who have passed that show up to bring you comfort. That they did. Then while in the hospital all my caregivers - nurses and aids were.....................deceased family members names (Paul, Rose, Christine, Lauren, Jack, William and a few more) and some of whom I never met. Coincidences?? I think not.

I thank you all for your tremendous support, well wishes and prayers when I informed y'all of my illness. Here's to NJ Strong Wx board and to many more years of sharing our hobby passion together!!

Let's make this and have the best winter ever!!!!!!!!

Thank you Doc and I am very fortunate. Likewise on the sentiments of calling you and many others on this board a friend and too a kick arse winter!!

this morning i woke up to the tragic news of comedian john witherspoon passing(the movie friday,next friday,the waynan's)but now reading that you beat this dreaded disease cancer i feel a lot better,so as i pour a bottle of moet i raise a toast to you,your family and YES let's all have a great winter with(SECS,MECS and even HECS)all rolled in..take care

Logging in for the first time since last winter to say a big old CONGRATS to you amugs. Having lost a family member to that terrible disease very recently it's great to hear success stories like this.
