Don't say it, warm in 50's and  high winds on top wll eat this snow pack.

16 here and still moderate snow, let me enjoy it.  Keep bringing it Frank!!!!

CP, remember that old song by Bobby Sherman?....."Easy Come...Easy Go".

We'll have a lot more snow this winter. We are in a bad pattern with the NAO and I still got 11 inches so far.

Of course Doc, Bobby Sherman, here come the brides, it was years before I put together the singer was the younger brother on that show.

Still 16 degrees and moderate snow though it's finally showing signs of letting up. 3.2 inches at my 4 o'clock measurement.

Honestly I enjoyed this one more than Saturdays 8 inch snow, I think because in the back of my mind I never really believed this one would happen.

4.2 inches in Highland Mills.

14.4 now for the season. A good start, now let's get the weekend out of the way with some snow pack left.

LOL, I think we just might be able to make out with some snow left, hopefully the wind isn't as bad this weekend and the rain is just showers. Sunday night into monday temps could get right at the freezing mark again and Monday over night will be cold again. Tuesday looks to be colder. The temps from the weekend into the early week next week will be a roller coaster, fluctuations of 30- 40º. Accuweather doesn't have anything too, too cold after Christmas. Things should be around average.

Went into town tonight for my birthday dinner and the roads are horrible - they plowed?? It was toough to measure becasue my snowboard wasn't clean so I had to measure three different areas around my home. I saw River Vale measured 3" so let's use that since it is the next town over from us  Very Happy Anyway I had a great day and thanks for the good wishes Janet. We are at 11.5" then!!

So the NWS 8:30 update has CPK at 1.1 inches with the last observation at 1:00 pm.  Now I don't know if that's right or wrong and I know there was a period of freezing rain after 1pm, but I do know there was moderate snow falling at 3 pm and 4 pm in CPk so they must have accumulated something in that time. 0.2 inches 0.6 maybe? Hopefully the NWS gets on the zookeepers butt and has him update by midnight. Is it really that hard to measure snow? Apparently it is because this has been going on since I was a kid.

Oh yeah happy birthday Mugs. Thanks for letting us share your gift.

In bx I totaled 2.5"...1/2" early then 2" later in the day...unless cpk.is making hourly measurements then compression after freezing rain will lessen the final total

I cringe at this warm up, big SE ridge really flexing its bicep this weekend!

The only day I'm really worried about is Sunday, if we can make it through Sunday with just light shower and not pouring rain, I still think some places will still have some snow. That Saturday temp literally comes out of nowhere, because the next day in some places will be 25-30 degrees lower. Like CP said, we just need to make it through this weekend.
