The current snow pack would survive a couple of days at 50 especially with the weak sun this time of year, but a couple of days of 50 and heavy rain, that's a different story.  Hope that somehow changes, at least the rain part.

I really hope that they we dont get that warm this weekend. 60 degrees right before Christmas would be pretty depressing. Especially with all of the recent cold and snow. Crazy that it could flip so quickly. I just saw a forecast for DC and they had a high of 72 listed for Sunday. 72! UGH

Nothing happening here in Midtown...looks like we're still sitting on the edge of that dry slot. Just got very dark out though...almost as if a thunderstorm is approaching.

Sorry if this gets posted twice, for some reason I can't find it on my phone. 72° is Christmas in Florida LOL. We had a nice week and a half of cold active weather, but I think we were all expecting that dreaded warm-up that always happens after a cold snap. It just sucks that it's happening right before Christmas. If only today were Christmas Eve. There's just nothing to anchor the cold.

It's almost the year 2014 and we haven't invented a jet stream anchor yet? Canada is hogging all the cold air. Montreal today is only 1°, even though it says 7° for high it's not getting there. I have a friend from Sweden who goes to school in Montreal, and she even says it is way too cold lol. Going to stop posting until I get home. Something is up with posting on my phone.

16 degrees and still moderate snow here. Just measured 2.8 inches so far. Said I'd be happy with 3 from this storm and I am. Forget my comments this morning.

Nice job as always Frank staying on top of this. I don't even bother listening to other forecasts anymore.

Grselig - thanks! My boyfriend is home in Wayne now and he said the roads are still ok. I'm hoping my commute is ok because it's a mess outside my office window in Hanover Twp.

Had about 1.5" here, the radar shows moderate snow aloft but 39F and drizzling here. No shoveling necessary, again.

Mom: "It's so cold, when it snows, it sticks so fat."

Me: "It's called a high-ratio snowfall, ma, get your terminology straight around me."

Mom: "vaffanculo and go shovel"

I got owned.

LOL, I hope she hit you on the back of the head as you were walking out the door with the shovel.I always got that from Mom or Pop when they took me down a notch. It's an Italian thing.

Great call on this slippery little clipper, Frank.Got three inches and I was right in your 2-4 inch zone.

Crazy observation, but after watching winters here many years, the clippers always work out better in the snowy years.Could be an omen here.

Of course Doc, Bobby Sherman, here come the brides, it was years before I put together the singer was the younger brother on that show.

Still 16 degrees and moderate snow though it's finally showing signs of letting up. 3.2 inches at my 4 o'clock measurement.

Honestly I enjoyed this one more than Saturdays 8 inch snow, I think because in the back of my mind I never really believed this one would happen.
