Ace that bow would be where the highest winds would be right? I agree Frank the cape is still high enough and instability to support this line through NYC area, not sure about how much further east but this could be a damaging night for some. Thursday did damge in my area and this looks stronger than Thursdays.

Noticed the bowing with this squall line. We might be in for something similar to last Thursday. Take cover everybody!Frank_Wx wrote:

Thats not good, that line looks to be going slightly north may get up into NJ and NYC area, or the northern part of the line may bow out too. Beastly looking, few t-storms lines make my eyes bug out but this one is crazy.

On main NWS page several tornado warnings with this line, mostly on the northern parts.

Everyone has a preference. Some people find t-storms boring.

Heh Frank dunno how you could, one of the most violent and exciting things IMO. You seem to find lightning amazing. A small t-storm yeah no big deal but ones like this are a whle nother thing. Last few frames look like bow may have weakened slightly.

I am in AC school, not sure what it feels like here in NYC. But it was hot and humid earlier. It could be a momentary blip, these things are usually pretty unpredictable.

Wow 10,000 power outages reported now by first energy in NJ. It does kind of look like that Frank, I am north of NYC we will seee what happens. Warnings up for NYC metro. Expecting one for southern WC anytime now. I am literally 1/4 mile from the warned area in the Bronx, maybe not even.

Wow, missing all the action! I'm in California, and with the time difference I can't keep up with what's going on 3 hours ahead of where I'm at! It was 105* here in Fresno today, now 9:00 at night it is still 94* and not a cloud in the sky......heading north to Oregon tomorrow so we'll see what the day brings....hope all of you are ok and didn't sustain any damage.
