A lot of warm air spewing into the mid levels of this storm. Since low level cold is plentiful, evidenced by your 21 degrees, this is a recipe for dangerous ice storm.

Gross, I want snow lmao. I'll post my obs here as to what occurs, but I am concerned about freezing rain.

Interesting Frank I guess you were right on timing and models were not (NAM showed strongest winds at noon or so), latest update to wind advisory extended it to 7pm and says winds don't pick up until this afternoon until evening.

* WINDS... NORTHEAST 20 TO 30 MPH WITH GUSTS UP TO 45 MPH... BECOMING NORTH IN THE LATE AFTERNOON INTO EVENING. GUSTS AS HIGH AS 50 MPH AT THE IMMEDIATE COAST AND THE LARGE BRIDGES AROUND NEW YORK CITY.
* TIMING... STRONGEST WINDS ARE EXPECTED THIS AFTERNOON INTO EARLY EVENING.

Note they also increased sustained speeds from 15-25 to 20-30. Still pouring out here.

My job will probably flood out and we'll have to go to our alternate location. I wish it would be like when it snows and develop a dry slot. This rain is annoying already.

I want one once I have house. But a bucket isn't accurate bc it's a certain circumference isn't it that a rain guage is? So it's probable more than 2.4

Still pouring like hell here in Bklyn, my temp dropped 3* in last hour. Down to 39 now. Not sure if that means anything for backend snow but man if this had been in January when the Sea Surface temps were down in the low 40's upper 30's this could have been a good one.
