i went to smoke outside and when I inhale, my lungs hurt more than usual. Translation...It's f'in cold. Wind Chill...really F'IN COLD!

Unfortunately it looks like I was right and CPK never got below the 3-4 range No surprise. So all the local news frenzy about it being the coldest day in 20 years turns out to be the coldest day in the last year tying last years low. Disappointing.

-6.0 here not even beating last years -7.2, but the coldest so far this year and that will probably stand as we are now in mid February. I see there are some negative double digits in spots. Curious how Hyde Jim and some others in the usual cold spots did.

Get use to it Doc, most winters we see at least one morning of -5 to -10. As noted earlier the -6.0 I recorded this morning didn't even beat last years low. We usually get our negative double digits on those cloudless, snow pack, still nights when there's no hype and the city stays in low teens and we just drop like a rock all night long from the radiational cooling.

Glad to see you got your sensor in a better spot. I know it's the wrong thread but I consider this thing tonight a non event for us, our friends to the south and east, Skins, Ace and others should do OK I hope.

Signing off for the day hopefully I get a nice surprise tonight but not expecting one.
