Frank_Wx wrote:Harvey just said he's not pitching more than 180 innings this season. The Mets organization and fans were under the impression he did not have an innings limit. Harvey should have told the Mets earlier than SEPTEMBER this was his intention. Pretty stunning news.

This would really stink.Remember when the Nats shut down Strasberg on innings a few years ago.Cost them a shot at the Series.Matz is coming back and if he excels, it would help out Harvey's inning number.

Not worried about this as much as the bullpen and the recent injuries to key players.

As I have said, a division win is the only way to the playoffs, the Cubs and Pirates have the wild cards.

Bartolo and the boys playing great! Best play of the year is Bart's throw behind his back to first...

That play was incredible.I can not find words to describe the amazing talent and durability of Bartolo Colon. He is the reason we are in a pennant race.Good to see the power.D'Arnaud is turning into a gem and good to have Flores bat back in the lineup.

Well with Matz, Wheeler,Syndegaard and DeGrom, it's not out of the question. We could get a couple of young power hitters in their 20's.If Harvey has a bad attitude, it could infect the whole team.Jury is out.

Thinking more on this Harvey issue, now that Bor-ass has his claws in him, he has become a prima donna.Harvey has one last chance to redeem himself....pitch in the playoffs and win a few games. If not, we still have Colon. The way he is pitching, he can go another year.Him plus Wheeler,Matz,DeGrom ,Syndegarrd and Niese leave us with a great staff.Maybe they can get a young power hitter and a good 7th inning relief man for Harvey.

Just so friggin' ugly, losing 2 of 3 to a crap team.Disgusting! I am so friggin sick of these "NICE GUY" managers.Rip these guys a new one for their crap showing against Miami.Common denominator...nice guy manager Randolph and Manuel in 2007 and 2008 and here we go with Collins in 2015.

Exactly, Dunz! Playoff calibre baseball and a tip o' the hat to the bullpen who held them down after Niese gave up that Grand Salami. The Cespedes trade looms large!

Nice comeback win today. Niese didn't have it yet again. That is a few starts in the row where he didn't pitch well. How about Cespedes? This guy is a monster. Comforto looks like an upcoming allstar. This kid has pop. How about the bullpen? Great tonight. 5 games ahead now. Lets go out and win the series.

Cespedes since joining the Mets

Mets 2015 Season - Page 20 Empty Re: Mets 2015 Season

Post by Snow88 Tue Sep 08, 2015 11:33 pm

The Mets are way different team this half of the season then last half. The acquistions of Uribe, Johnson, Cespedes, Clippard and Conforto ( coming up for AA ) is shifting this team into overdrive. Amazing.

The Nats were celebrating like they won the world series when they were up 7-1. Wow, Storen sucks. What the hell happened to him?

Wow, this has to be the biggest win of the season for the Mets. Harvey didn't have it at all tonight. He allowed 7 runs. In the past when the Mets trailed by 6 runs, you knew the game was probably over but not this season ( especially since the trading deadline ). This team fights back all the time when losing. Another big hit by Cespedes and a huge hr by captain Kirk in the 8th. The bullpen was good once again tonight. Wow, what a win. I am pumped up. The lead is back to 6 games. Degrom will be going for the sweep tomorrow. Lets go Mets.

Another thing is that Cespedes waived the 5 day window for a trade . It looks like he wants to stay a Met.

This was the first since since 2001 that the Mets overcame a six-run deficit. Also, this first time since 2001 that they overcame a six run deficit in the seventh inning or later.

This series with the Nats.....Jesus, Mary and Joseph!!!!. I bow down and genuflect to the great and powerful Alderson for the Cespedes,Johnson, Clippard and Conforto moves.

Unsung hero last night is Jacob DeGrom who kept us alive for the offensive explosion.Love this kid, humble, likable instead of this "Dark Knight" crap.

Man o man this is FUN!!!!!!!!!!!

Great game for the amazing Colon.Good to see Uribe and Johnson in there.Collins has a great roster now and can rest guys when they need it.That kid Alveres is pretty good in the bullpen and Reed finished it off.Good to see as Clippard and Familia were rested.

On all eight cylinders now.

Mets win 5-1. Mets are now 80-61 and 8.5 games in first. Strong outing by Matz. The pen did a great job ( Reed, Clippard and Familia ). Another great game by Cespedes. That homerun was a moonshot. He now has 33 homeruns and 100 rbis for the season. 15 homers with the Mets.

Great news on Matz, you can't have enough good starting pitching.Cespedes is the reason we are where we are.Nice to see Reed taking over that 7th inning slot, it was definitely a chink in our armor. Tip o' the hat to the lowly Marlins for helping us out.Nats in a free fall.
