Great news on Matz, you can't have enough good starting pitching.Cespedes is the reason we are where we are.Nice to see Reed taking over that 7th inning slot, it was definitely a chink in our armor. Tip o' the hat to the lowly Marlins for helping us out.Nats in a free fall.

Wow, looks like I lost that one right now.Never figured they would get a guy like Cespedes.Was thinking Lagares would be the guy in 2016 to put them over the top with the great pitching.Who knew?

Cespedes is probably the best mets trade that they have made since trading for Delgado or even since trading for Piazza. They have to sign him. The man deserves every bit of the money.

Agree 100%.The Wilpons can salvage their standing with Mets Fans signing him.Cespedes was dropped on their laps on a silver platter.Hope they don't blow it.

Just got back from the game. Wow, another comeback win. 8 wins in a row and now 83-61 ( 9.5 games in first ) This team is amazing. I wasn't worried at all when they were losing 3-1. Logan pitched well. Another long hr by Cespedes. Chants in the stands of ( MVP ) throughout the game. The stadium was rocking all night long. Never seen it like this in a long time. The bullpen was good tonight. Familia now has 41 saves. Benitez had 43 saves in 2001. Familia has a chance to break the record. This team has been breaking records all season long. This is a special team. I am really happy that I went to tonights game. It was a good night. Lets go Mets =)

This season reminds me a lot of a game I attended in July 1969 when the Mets and Cubs were in a dogfight for first place.Shea was packed to capacity and the yelling and screaming was heard for miles they say.Cespedes reminds me of Don Clendenon, the power hitter who put them over the top that year with the great young arms of Seaver and Kooseman.

Glad, snow, you had a great night.These are happy days, got to enjoy every one.

Exactly, Mike.I laugh at the announcers and fans already putting us in the playoffs.To them I say...WHOA NELLIE! there is a long way to go.We are playing an very tough Yankee team who will be fighting like wildcats because Toronto is tough.There are a lot of games leading up to the last games with the Nats.The starting pitching ERA is up to 4, the bullpen is shaky and the power went out like a light the last two games against a crappy team.That last series with the Nats could be for the division title if we play like the last two games.

Colon pitched great last night.A 3.00 ERA is good.Sadly, the recent power surge short circuited and could easily have won the game had they put up a 4 or 5 spot.Collins tinkering with that line-up too much.
