02/05 "Surprise" Storm Obs. / Final Call Snow Map

Starting sticking on some paved areas last 20 mins, a coating.  Little under an inch on cars, grass. 33*
its been coming hard for a while now if only it had been a little colder

Blitzing here for hours approx 3 inches roads covered trees in bad shape

Eyeballing 3"-4" now. Still moderate snow.

Just like the last storm absolutely nothing here in Hyde Park. I can't remember a worse winter for this area.

Just shoveled off the back brick patio for the dog and to get more firewood. 5" on the pavement and more on the non-paved surfaces. Snowing moderate to heavy. I'd say 1" per hour. 30 degrees.

In the office at work in Midtown. The snow is not really sticking to paved surfaces. Of course back in Bellerose when I left around 6:15 it had accumulated about an inch or so on the sidewalk

I can't complain, 10 miles north of me not even an inch. There is definitely an invisible barrier at route 84 this year, I've never seen a year this bad with the cutoffs, ridiculous.

Scroc What are we looking at? Will this go to about 12pm?

Around 2" very heavy wet snow. Sidewalks mostly slushy. Trees is where all the snow is. Still at least mod snow, wind picking up.

Just got real windy, whiteout conditions for a minute or two.

your colder temps make up for less precip this time around.

My area only had a couple of flakes.

Yes, CP, 3 inches looks good.The guys north of 84 are really in the scroo zone.There was a day 40-50 years ago when that was always jackpot territory.We are lucky to be on the northern and western fringes of the jackpot zones.

That bails us out up here, the better ratios due to 2 to 5 degrees colder than where you are.
