Dont like that low. I feel it''s causing a weakness in the ridge.
Are you saying you want a storm? lol If so, I respectfully disagree with your sentiments hahaha a lot of coastlines are already battered from Hermine, and this would just exacerbate the problems lol I wouldn't mind trading this for an 1888 Blizzard haha
Yup, bring him on.

Beast. Going to be fun watching this guy shift on models from direct hit to OTS over the coming days.

At this point a week out, the latest GEFS depict an eerily similar path to another storm I won't name........

ok so u think the hook is unlikely despite the gefs? I know it's only one run but as all are saying. Errily similar.amugs wrote:Jman I would say no - we had an enormous N NAo block over greenland and a huge N titled trough.

Re: HURRICANE MATTHEW
I'm assuming a quicker capture would b required to bring in into the area.? Is that possible? But even into ne we could see strong effects if it's huge.Frank_Wx wrote:Some GEFS members hook Matt west into New England

You sir belong in a psych ward lmfao I have to admit, though, in situations like this (or Sandy) I find myself straddling such a fine line between being absolutely enthralled by the event and in a state of pure enjoyment trying to predict and then observe these systems as they evolve, and being completely devastated knowing the impacts. It sucks lol

Mother Nature will do what she wants. All we can do is prepare.

Re: HURRICANE MATTHEW
Malfunction or not what I'm looking at at 500mb is very similar to the trends on the GFS and CMC so far today.

Euro definitely continues the new trend of moving out the ULL faster and builds the ridge, should be further north and closer this run compared to yesterday's 12z run
