That coastal front that the GFS portrays is very eerily similar to Floyd and Irene.

Okay I see still loading, wow 40kt 925 winds into NYC already well ahead of the storm at 168. With the rain already coming in I think a lot of that could be mixed down, peculation of course.

These winds are going to be huge for most of the area Frank I think already pushing 60kts sustained. These are not gists from way I read it.

The surge will be dependent on how long the east and NE winds last before switching to the NW. Will have to see how many high tide cycles will be affected by the strongest east and NE winds.

Pretty much, the Flooding up state and the storm surge would set the area back for years, I hope there is some way this does not pan out.
