Yet no warning, glad to see the highway signs. that does get peoples attention.

My Snowfall probabilities for NYC:

6"+: 90%
12"+: 45%
24"+: 10%
36"+: 0.05%

These numbers are slightly higher just north and west of NYC and are lower just south and east for NYC.

I am deeply concerned about a changeover to sleet and even a bit of rain for NYC and LI. The way I see, the snow starts late Monday night and if the RGEM model is right, sleet would mix in by 9 AM Tuesday. Other models don't show as much mixing for Bellerose and the rest of NYC. The mixing line is a bit to close for comfort for me. I will give you updates during the day when I get a chance to.

Here is the RGEM valid for 11 AM Tuesday. Blue is snow, pink is sleet, green is rain. Notice how portions of the Hudson Valley/Catskills are getting over 2" of snow per hour(!) while NYC/LI is stuck in sleet.

Don't know if you saw this Mike but it's the NAM from tonight with 5 inch an hour snowfall rates over Orange County. It doesn't have to do that very long to get a foot of snow. Hope it comes about.

Yeah. It's very similar to the UKIE (unsurprisingly). Mixing likely an issue on the coast.

Coastal WC, possibly. Also, this is why the NWS hasn't pulled trigger on Blizzard Warnings yet; have a feeling they will issue WSW's first to be honest.

As cp said they should have already. Personally I font think there's go b long enough mix issue to not have blizzard.

We'll see. I'm not liking this too close for comfort hugger aspect to the storm but I also can't remember a mid 970's storm hanging out just east of us. So I don't know honestly.

Euro snow map, great for me but this really needs to move 30-40 miles east or NYC and most coastal sections are going to have real mixing issues. In Eastern CT, RI cape cod and Red Sox Suck Euro is to far west and they may be looking at mostly rain if this held.
