GFS just caved peeps - this is getting real now. 12Z euro, NAVGEM will see if this westerly track holds.

If this leftover energy is for real then this pulls Jose closer to the coast as the NAM is showing.
Complex set up for sure here

More than a breezy day on current model runs trending west. Might see 3-5 inches of rain and major coastal flooding

So far the weather channel has NYC south of Jersey Long Island and much of Connecticut for 2 and 3 inches of rain and the possibility of major coastal flooding

If trends continue well see watches later today possibly.

2. While the center of Jose is currently forecast to remain offshore
of the U.S. coast, the large cyclone could cause some direct impacts
from Virginia northward to New England, and any deviation to the
left of the NHC forecast track would increase the likelihood and
magnitude of those impacts. Interests along the U.S. east coast
from Virginia to New England should monitor the progress of Jose
through the next several days. Tropical storm watches could be
required for a portion of this area later today.

I would say the LI and this point
