A high of 60 is about 10 degrees above normal this time of year Al, and that's in the urban areas. Lets not push winter out any faster than we have to. Like you say, it feels like it never really got going.

Anyway I appreciate the update on the upcoming possibilities. I had almost begun my hibernation a tad to early. Hoping for one of the famous Al 4:00am alerts that things are trending positively. I've missed those this year.

JB's map and it is a horse hair away from shifting that blue SE.
This has the marking of a major Nor'easter and we need a quicker phase to bomb this out for us from NYC and NNJ into LHV.

Also watch out for teh 28-29th time frame for another possible coastal and interior paste job

FVS GFS para model is just excise my word age here but retarded, they need to fix this bigly. It's showing an 1888 blizzard of historic proportions for DC and N VA through Philly.NYC region. My god it's physics are worse that the Goofus.
Imagine it scored a missive coup? Anyway, looks to be rain for many but NWNJ and HV needs to pay attention. NNJ.may see some mix and white rain.
So hear that rain for many, nit calling for a blizzard!!
Watch next week 28-29th time frame as well interior peeps.
MJO looks  to be going into phase

High pressure drifts offshore into the Northern Atlantic Thursday
into Friday with another low pressure system developing in the
midwest. Conditions will be mainly dry. The transition from zonal
flow Thursday into Friday to more SW amplified flow going into the
weekend will allow for a quick moderation and thereafter warmup of
the airmass. Expecting more in the range of 50 to low 60s for highs
and lows more in the 40s for much of the remainder of the long term
period.

There will be a slight chance of rain showers with a nearby warm
front Friday and then with a slowly approaching cold front during
the weekend northwest of NYC with probabilities for rain showers
increasing to chance Sunday and Sunday night with a cold front
moving across. Some areas north and west of NYC could see some snow
showers on the backside of the cold front Sunday night.
