Beautiful day today. Got my workout done in the morning, all outside. Wonderful way to start the day. Love the coolish nights. Still, it feels like summer. Can't believe it's June. Everybody, enjoy!!!

yes 88 for a high down here..but the humidity was low and there was a great breeze...TODAY NOT SO GOOD..HUMIDITY IS HIGH..AND NO BREEZE...YUCK..85 % HUMIDITY... stay safe stay cool...

Went to Long Branch today, absolutely gorgeous beach day 75 -80 degrees with a breeze and full sunshine. Actually by 3pm it was windy and getting chilly!!

I am unfamiliar with the storm prediction center curse. What is it? Rainy this morning until 1 pm. Considerable rain. About a half inch.

I was there the other weekend too.

The onshore flow made it feel cooler than what it actually was cause I got really sunburnt Very Happy

Whenever the SPC puts out a severe weather alert for the area, and it includes NENJ, we don't get the severe weather. When they don't put out a warning, NWS Upton tries to get alerts to us, and we get clobbered with little warning! So when I see the SPC alert, I think "Ok the kiss of death, no storms here!" I think they need a NY area meteorologist out in Oklahoma to set them straight! lol

So far it has been a beautiful weekend this morning woke up to cool crisp 57 deg . I am not complaining I’m at the beach I hope it seems like this all summer long who needs heat and humidity stay safe everyone and enjoy your Sunday

Please tell me you know that temperature has nothing to do with getting a sunburn.....plenty of skiers get sunburns. I really hope that was a joke.

Beautiful out there today. 79* Sunny and no humidity. Looks like the models maybe backed off a little from the mini-heat wave this weekend?? A couple days ago the highs Friday-Sat-Sun were supposed to be in the low 90s, now it’s showing mid to upper 80s. Not a huge difference but consistent with the recent pattern of the heat struggling to take hold around here.

Currently 76° with low humidity. You won't find me complaining about days like these. High temps and high humidity will be here very soon I'm sure.

And docstox, you can start your countdown to winter a day earlier as the summer solstice is on the 20th. this year. Razz

Yep every day after this Saturday until December will be shorter (in daylight) than the day before. Won’t be noticeable for a few weeks, but technically Sunday begins the slow retreat of the summer sun!

I find the earlier sunset starts to make an impression on me around mid-to-late July. Then it becomes VERY noticeable that the days are getting shorter by mid-August.

What amazes me is now we have sunset around 8:30 but come late Nov. it's 4:30.

With the building humidity, I moved the central air switch from the off to the on position, probably for the foreseeable future.

Got a little rain shower now but it is so light it seems to be evaporating before it even hits the ground. Temp 76°,humidity 72%,dewpoint 66°
