My snow depth is at 21. Last night I was 22 and still moderate snow. I wonder how much truly fell. 25? As per working out, I loose too. I set up my weights etc outside. Gonna have to be creative. Farmers walk in the snow!

I’m going with 25”, as reported on the news for Morris Plains, as that is the section of Parsippany that I live in. If I see a spotter report that says differently, I will change it.
I gave up measuring here yesterday around 20”, when it all started to compact.

30* with some very fine snow flurries here. Steady snow bands on radar just north and west of me.

I had it up on blocks, and there’s just so much I can do alone to get it off the floor. Not even six freakin’ months old. Talk about a bad weekend. I guess it could be worse, though; could be our first floor and everything/one in it.
Ugh, sorry Ray, that’s awful. I was afraid this would happen to some folks. I posted a picture from my friends’ house on one of the Cape May barrier islands earlier - she had water almost to her garage door in the afternoon. I’m afraid high tide last night may have done in their garage too but haven’t spoken to them yet. They had water in the garage from Jonas I believe. Hope the damage is limited for you and you don’t have much to clean up.

Good Morning from Hopatcong. Amateur measurements indicate another 6 inches fell overnight, bringing my total to about 32 inches....and it is still coming down up here.
Absolutely outrageous.

I ended with about 14.5". What a great storm. Ray that completely sucks brotha. Currently have a little drizzle at 34*
Hopefully I can get a change over and have it spit a little more snow today even if there isnt any accum. I ended with a period of plain rain last night around 9ish.

Excellent snow growth ratios in the mid-levels for western areas. If you get under banding today I wouldn't be surprised for someone to pick up another 5". Possibly more if there is just a slight disturbance on the trough.

You think we are done here NYC area on east? If so I am gonna venture out today as roads are pretty clear just parking is go be a PITA. NWS as I said took down the WSW seems it will snow to the west of here but thats about as far east as it gets.heehaw453 wrote:Excellent snow growth ratios in the mid-levels for western areas. wowzwers and to think you may add double digits if sunday pans out!!! And the rain i do not think is go take much off on friday. Do not worry bout measure, its near impossible with the blowing and drifts that we had and then compacting, i went by a very close local spotter by NWS too, within miles of me.

Radar starting to show some signs of filling in a bit over my location, and right on cue snow intensity has picked up a notch here. I’d say Light-to-Moderate here.

25 inches here and snowing lightly but picking up in intensity the last several minutes. I wouldn't mind making a run at 30.

I end up spending so much time on the comp tracking etc leading up to the storm, plus all the other stuff in my day to day life that occupies my time, that when it comes down to game time I like to sit back and enjoy it in the flesh. That plus my family wanted to enjoy it with me instead of me sitting in front of the comp which again I had been doing quite a bit of leading up to it.
Ive always kind of pulled back a bit come game time.

The forecast did not do well, unfortunately. The south and coast finished way under (Philly-SNJ), and the jackpot zone needed to be extended more SW-W-NW. Main issues were:
1. Areas away from the coast, mostly near Philly and SW NJ, dealt with a long period of mixing as a result of a sneaky warm layer near 800mb
2. Shore and Long Island also had periods of mixing but eventual dry slotting due to the track of the 700mb low. This also caused reduced accumulations for some boroughs of NYC. Sounds like Central Park finished around 18-19 inches.
That said, there were some good calls across NJ and southern portions of NY. Definitely deserved Roidzilla criteria given the scattered 24"+ readings we are seeing. This one was lots of fun - AND - its not even done for some people. Wouldn't shock me to see another 1-3" for WNJ/EPA.

Frank, for your call on LI, I think you did quite well. Most of the island has totals over 14" mostly 15-17" except for immediate shore points, but still 12"+ there. 16.1" in St. James

I just hit 18" and it's snowing moderate to heavy. I'd say your forecast was one of the best I've seen.

Frank a most excellent job and leading up to the storm WE had our troops prepared, hands down!! That al we can ask for. Heck it was 10000x better than ALL TV outlets who up until Sunday afternoon still had 6-12 and 8-12 range for snow - how the hell did that work out. It was very irresponsible for them to do that and I had MANY friends texted and asking why are yuo saying almost two feet and tehir saying maybe a foot at 3,4,5PM on Sunday!!! Some win and some win less in these storms but Big Momma always finds a way to balance things out some how someway.
Get some rest troops cause we are going to be buckling up and strapping in for Friday and then Sunday and next Wednesday possibly!! BUT lets get through today first LOL!
These storms are tough to call and the set up was a bit wonky but the good ol' 700mb Low track was what caused some issues yuo pointed out.

Yes - actually been snowing at a decent clip for a while. Not going to make up for the sleetshow yesterday but feels good.
