BTW - Franks 48 inches is the only prediction not in the 30-40 inch range.

Haha that's extremely interesting. I actually told my younger cousin to pick a number between 15 and 80, and she said 48. That's how I got my number. Lol

LOL, that's what you get when you are a day late and a dollar short to this like I am.I have no idea about first days with temps or number of storms, I'm just guessing but I am serious about the amount of snow for the season.For us up in Mahwah, i figure about 38 inches this year.

LOL, while this is true, I clearly stated that this contest does not go into effect until November 1st

And just by looking at long range, I don't think we will see many 20's, if any, for Central Park first half of November.

The heat island effect in NYC is just ridiculous. Almost all surrounding suburbs in jersey and Long Island have already seen upper 20's and Central Park has barely broken 40.

I have observed that for years.We here in Mahwah, 25-30 miles N and W of the City always run 5 degrees colder while you up there in the HV, 50 miles away, run at least 1o degrees colder.Major factor in precip types in winter storms.

Waters probably in the mid 50's so I could see that. We've been 25 a couple mornings. It's been below freezing all but two mornings in the last 8. Looks like a warm spell coming up though. Hate it.

Figuring it to be an average winter for snow.We get about 10 inches more than CP any given year.

I hope I'm wrong and we get blasted, but for the contest, I went conservative.

This will be my last winter in Mahwah after 34 years, moving up to Monroe NY in the Hudson Valley next October.Than I can all laugh at the Bergen County folks getting slop while I'm at 700 feet and 25 miles North getting blasted with snow.LOL!

LOL, now that I think about it, if these predictions are based on Central Park, I'll never get close. The city takes forever to cool off. I was hiking in Campgaw last saturday, it was great. One day I'll get my getaway house in the Adirondack's and make fun of all of you Smile
