Re: June 2021 Observations and Discussion
Had a weak line of storms last night. The midwest has been getting rocked by severe weather. More of it for them this weekend.
By the way, our next heat wave starts on Sunday. It's possible some places see 90* as early as Saturday. The heat wave will last into Wednesday or Thursday next week according to the models.
Greatttttt

Re: June 2021 Observations and Discussion
Heat wave is here. Had a real feel of 102 degrees yesterday.
I am trying to get an accurate read of the weather for the holiday weekend. As of now it looks pretty awful because of this:

What are the odds a mid-level trough decides to swing through the northeast over the long weekend? This spells mostly overcast conditions with on and off steady rain and/or t-storms.

Re: June 2021 Observations and Discussion
Thursday through Sat temps 10-12* BN and threats of shower and thunderstorms each day.
2 day rebound to 90's then about 5-6* BN for a few more days.
Lots of crazy weather around the world, extremes galore, heat, cold, snow, hail, rain, sinkholes, flooding, largest meteor ever recorded just entered our solar system, sun is firing back up and the magnetosphere is weakening thus any solar flare or nove would cause issues to our electrification of our planet that gets the brunt of such a flare. Crop failures galore to boot. Only going to get wilder.

Here comes the calvary......can u hear the trumpets in distance? Severe Tstorms gonna roll through the region and help cool is off overnight, the second front is manana and we cool by 25* for many!! Some areas Fri and Sat night might hit mid to low 50's. Give our AC systems a break for those that have not busted with this heat wave.

Just a wimper as the rain moved through, enough lightning to make it a little exciting, and only .11" of rain. Hit 94*, 98*, and 97* the last 3 days. Down to 75 now.

Re: June 2021 Observations and Discussion
It rained mightily here last night with all the trimmings. Drenching for about 40 min. Talking about central air, I am enrolled in the energy-saver prg. Thermo got moved up by the power company but not too bad in the house. I wouldn’t recommend it sfter the first year. I see models for a good part of Jul going warmer and wetter

Re: June 2021 Observations and Discussion
We survived the heat for now. Rain is working it’s way through the area as we speak. That will further cool things off. As of now today through Saturday appear to be the worst days in terms of rainy and overcast conditions. By Sunday and Monday things look to clear up.

Re: June 2021 Observations and Discussion
Today it was blue skies and though clouds threatened a bit, no rain. My rain gauges must be broken. 4 inches across these days. Humidity not so bad-66%. Looking forward to the gradual warm up Mon to Wed. Waiting for the first tomato
