Heavy snow across central PA right now and some snow mixing in with the rain as far east as the Poconos in PA. Going to be a cold rain for most of us tonight, but this was a close call for snow this time of year.

Would be on the look-out for localized flooding in the region tonight from the heavy rain. Had a decent amount of rainfall recently and the streams/rivers seem to be running high. Another 1-2" of rain will not help.

Its a late spring this year for alot of areas where we grow food, We were warning our clients, And it now ups the ante for the fall as there are going to be places in the midwest where planting may be a few weeks behind schedule as there is some freak potential IMO the first week of May. All the way down to I-20, the last frost may not have occurred IMO. So some of the latest ever cold/snow records if not broken may be

There was one May years ago when I lived in Mawah and had my organic veggie garden.By the Framer's Almanac, the last frost there was around May 15th and I cheated a bit and put in my tomato plants around may 10th.Sure enough a frost warning went up a few days later.Had to cover all the plants with coffee cans and others to save them.

45 degrees, light rain.NWS says those near I-84 may get 2 to 4 inches of snow tonight.That means Damian as he is a little north of I-84.Let's see what he reports tomorrow am.

Absolute deluge of rain out there this evening. Thought I heard sleet on my window but I’m probably too far south and east for that. Definitely a soaker out there though.

35° and moderate to heavy rain with some snow mixed in at times.

National Weather Service put out a statement to expect 2 to 4 inches of snow in western orange county tonight. It looks like dark and I will be a little too far east by maybe 10 miles or so to get in on the accumulating snow. Will be interesting to hear from Damien tomorrow who will probably be in that area. Monticello which is about 40 miles to my north west is expecting a foot. Even though it’s mid to late April it’s still frustrating.

CP, just another kick in the head on a very disappointing winter.Big snows were either too far S and E, or too far N and W.Where I trout fish up in Roscoe must have gotten pounded.Never heard any wind here last night either.

Just a dusting. Laat night at 10:30, heavy sleet and precip the entire night. When I say a dusting out there-half. Only a partial on the ground. Blacktop driveway and roads are not covered. Trees are slightly coated. Deck is slushed. My dog too did not like it. She was sent out on her own. No real wind last night. Anyone get more than a dusting

Things I have learned: Doc lives near me- CP lives near me, both are very much funnier than I, they are better writers, and I was a dumbass for leaving my rain gauge out all winter. It cracked.

Tonight it will be 32. The heat has been off for weeks. The wood stove is doing its job. Isn’t it time for a board get-together?

while I totally understand people being upset about a cool and wet MAY, as someone who gets bad seasonal allergies, with MAY being the worst month, I can only hope and pray that MAY turns out to be cool and wet.
