68* and mostly cloudy here. Definitely has been noticeably cooler all day after yesterday's heat. Some strong to severe storms presently over NE PA, Hudson Valley and NW NJ. Keep an eye on them as they slide east/southeast.

At 9 pm light rain and thunder. 61 degrees. The new rain gauge shows me the rain we’ve been getting. Lots. I have been working FT killing moss in the lawn, liming. Moss is getting ridiculous. So is the rain these days

Line of storms on my doorstep. Loud thunder rolling through the night as rain is just starting.

64 with light rain. I am outside with my coffee listening to it fall. It seems the peepers are in bed by 4 am but last night they were rocking the house outside near the pond. Elvis must have been in town. Or Doc. Take your pick.

The past week or so is the best string of fabulous-weather days that I can remember in I don’t know how long. I could also take an entire summer of this weather!sroc4 wrote:Dunnzoo wrote:weatherwatchermom wrote:What a glorious morning!! low humidity..birds chirping, 64*, sun shinning...love love love this weather..

I am no longer teaching. I retired at the end of October. I couldn’t do it any more. The pandemic was too much for me.weatherwatchermom wrote:Hope your school year went well..can not believe how fast it went..

I am glad you could I felt bad for my teacher friends..it is too much and in a way I am glad that Nate is almost done he is a rising Senior because all the craziness..it is just too much... I hope you are enjoying your retirement..you can always tutor. .that is what a few friends are doing...lol We could have used you this spring. Nate is a very good student,, BUT does not like science..he struggled for the first time ever and it was in his College Chem class..I have never seen him study like this in his life..he got his first A- and he earned every point the hard way...lol...Anyway the temps are good today..71 but cloudy and we have a few sprinkles here and there..Enjoy the rest of your weekend!brownie wrote:I am no longer teaching. Re: June Observations & Discussions
The incredible pattern of low humidity will go another week or even two. Feels nice to be outside and actually breathe!
Also, some models show vicious storms making there way through here Tuesday morning. 4am-11am could be rough..

Yeah, Definitly looks like a PHL and south threat but it is within the magin of error for some of the southern and western poritons of NYC metro area. Will have to keep an eye of HRRR this evening as the MCS develops.Frank_Wx wrote:NAM shifted the track south for tomorrow mornings storms

Re: June Observations & Discussions
Definitely had some strong storms roll through my area from about 6am-9:30 am. (Perfect timing for my commute ). Wasn’t a lot of wind, and only a few rumbles of thunder but rain was torrential.
