Bk, years ago ,there was a Horticulturist on the site who said oak trees go through cycles and it is normal to see this.My old timey feeling is that huge amounts of acorns indicates a killer winter to come.Probably way off base, but as the old song goes "I Can Dream, Can't I",LOL.

Great scientific (not msm twisted) paper on our return to a glacial period. We are already in it as is stated and believe it began in 2020 maybe sooner. Sun and oceans control our weather, climates....... period.

Yet another day for predictions of heavy rain and intense thunderstorms yielding nothing more than a passing light shower. A bit dissapointing as we could use a good soaking. Seems to be the pattern all summer. Everything either dies off before it gets here, or it skirts to the north or east leaving my area unaffected. I don't think I've heard a clap of thunder or seen a bolt of lightning yet this season.

Something I've not seen before is leaves falling off neighbors oak trees still fully green but dry and shrivelled up as if it were late fall. A sure sign of how dry it's been here.

Your right, Greybeard, my area has been getting the brunt of the T Storm attack this summer.That one episode wreaked havoc up here with over 8 inches at West Point.Roads were washed out and there was,sadly, a fatality.My Oak is dropping acorns at a rate I have not seen in 10 years in this house.The early maples are turning color now as well.I always have been a believer in patterns, once set, stay around for a while.
