This thread is for all the people who love to think back at previous storms and relive the moment. I personally love reading the stories some of you have to share. Here is how I would like this thread to work:

1. If you have a specific storm in mind, start a new thread with the date of the storm as the title. If the storm had a nickname, also include that. For example, "Boxing Day December 2010"

2. Post as many graphics / pictures as you can from that particular storm

3. I will also be adding in some of our old threads of some storms we tracked just this past winter.

Have fun

Great idea. This actually needed its own group for separate threads. I had started a storm archives in the general weather thread but so many storms get mixed into the same thread it became hard to differentiate. This will also be a good spot to go to when I get tired of summer and get that itch to see some snow again.

This is great idea Frank, we can separate our nostalgia of past storms from present and near-future events.

I wonder if it is possible to transfer threads from the main board onto this board such as this one:

https://www.njstrongweatherforum.com/t76-remembering-december-26-27-2010-boxing-day-blizzard

Now we can talk about this storm all we want!  Very Happy

For anyone that needs any reminders of dates or amounts I've listed the 52 largest snowstorms in NYC below. I listed the top 52 because the superstorm of 93 is actually 52nd for snowfall totals in NYC but certainly warrants discussion for it's size and power. Of course any threads created aren't limited to this list. Today we were discussing on another thread the May 10, 1977 noreaster that dumped 1-2 feet of snow in many parts of the HV, CT, MA, and PA. NYC, Newark and other coastal cities received a trace of snow from that storm.

Last August, Frank posted a thread for what was the two year anniversary of Irene and last October, he posted a thread for the year anniversary of Sandy. I was wondering if they could be placed in the Storm Archive section.

Here are the links:
