Another nice day unfolding, I heard t-storms later today is that true? Also accuweather is saying severe storms tomorrow afternoon, I do not recall anyone mentioning that. Frank did mention rain but not severe wx. Hope everyone is well.

Re: June 2014 Observations / Discussions Thread
it is going to be very humid today with highs in the mid 80's. potential for flash flooding from showers and t/storms with a slow moving front, primarily from the Hudson on west. nyc and LI less likely to see heavy rain.

Re: June 2014 Observations / Discussions Thread
looks like flash flood threat for today has diminished. most of us should get a relatively brief but heavy t/storm. however this is latest disco from nws for weds night/ thurs morning.
SHORT TERM /6 AM WEDNESDAY MORNING THROUGH THURSDAY/...
POTENTIAL FOR A HIGH IMPACT WEATHER EVENT WEDNESDAY NIGHT THROUGH
THURSDAY MORNING.
ALL FORECAST MODELS SHOW AN INTENSIFYING LOW PRES SYSTEM MOVING
EAST TOWARD NYC WITH A WARM FRONT EXTENDING EAST...VERY CLOSE TO
THE LOCAL AREA.
A WIDESPREAD HEAVY RAINFALL OF AT LEAST 1 TO 2 INCHES IS POSSIBLE
WITH ISOLATED HIGHER AMOUNTS...CONTINUING DURING THE THURSDAY MORNING
RUSH HOUR.
IN ADDITION...STRONG LOW LVL CONVERGENCE ALONG WITH INCREASING ELEVATED
INSTABILITY WILL SET THE STAGE FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF THUNDERSTORMS
ALONG AND NORTH OF THIS WARM FRONT. ISOLATED SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS
CAPABLE OF PRODUCING ROTATION IN THE VICINITY OF THE WARM FRONT IS POSSIBLE.
STAY TUNED.

Re: June 2014 Observations / Discussions Thread
Could be some nasty storms Thursday morning around our area. Most likely a heavy batch of rain. Should come to an end between 1-2pm. With High Pressure taking over Friday, it's going to be a great weekend.

Re: June 2014 Observations / Discussions Thread
We could see a little more then half an inch of rain today. Could be heavy during the morning commute. Drive carefully. Will clear out late afternoon and turn into a beautiful weekend, sunshine with temps in the 70's and 80's

Marvelous day today. When the humidity is low, I don't even mind temps in the low 90's. I think I'm in the low 80's right now. Next week is looking pretty unsettled with numerous days of overcast and showers.
