I remain flakeless up here.Radar says no way it gets here.

Saw NWS had Saturday's storm going to slop up here so at this juncture, they believe warmer air will be coming into this storm.We'll see, way too early to tell.Nice active pattern.

That massive fire in NJ is still smoking and smoke (and smell) is coming across the Hudson. CPK officially reporting Haze now.

NWS says 3-6 up here, mostly snow, some freezing rain.They are downplaying Monday-Tuesday saying bulk of precip stays south of here.We'll see.

Just realized it was 4 years ago this exact time frame Jan 26-27, 2011 that NYC saw 19.0 inches of snow.

9.8 today not terrible.

Doc, I'm pretty sure you're right about that. As I remember that that was an intense band that sat over the city for several hours that wasn't that widespread.

CP, I think that was the "Snowmaggedon" winter with those huge snowstorms down south while we sat with cold and clear conditions.

No the storm results as storms go was ok around New York City, but nothing even near their top 50 all-time. This storm now ranks as their 66th largest snowstorm of all time. I would hardly call that historic as many news media outlets were saying yesterday.

The impressive thing is the Central Park Final measurement came in at 9.8 inches. From everything I've observed and seen in the area that looks to be an accurate measurement for the first time this winter.

Nothing spectacular but def respectable 15.25"
Literally 1 mile two my east was close to and over 20". And 4 miles to my west at my parents house measured 19" The radar had stationary bands to my east and west.

Freezing out here this morning in Syosset. 17 inches total for the storm and now 25.8 for the season. 17 degrees on my thermometer this morning and with the 2 hour delay my kids aand I enjoyed an hour on the rink this morning.

By the way I'm technologically pretty ignorant. If someone on here pm's me an email address I'll send them a picture of my kids on the rink surrounded by all the snow in my backyard and you can post it.
