About 7" here compacted down to 5 after warmer temps and drizzle, 35 now, HRRR did well, local mets did not.

In my backyard I measured 7.5 inches. Luckily it was powdery snow nice and easy to clean up.

Thank you Doc. I just hope my area is not left out of this possible historic event. With my luck I'll be where the sharp cut off area is and I'll see snow flurries. UGH !

Local mets 2-4 busted miserably with minimum backlash outside the hardcore wx community

But many will claim they were correct, like Amy Freeze who kept gong with the 2.5 inches the idiot reported in CPK. Lonnie Quinn will also claim his 0-2 inches was on the mark. It's madness and it's driving me mad.

Re: January "Blitz" Storm Observations
Every measurement in NYC was 4 - 5” so it was def widespread under forecast but cpk saved the day.
Correction JFK had 3.4"...that makes sense though seeing its location right on the shore... Even they had more than cpk.

I've tried. Please e-mail NOAA, instruction on the email about the zookeeper thread. It's helped in the past.
