Steady snow turned to just a few flurries. You're right about that PA radar, looks horrible and ragged there.Hmmmmmmmmm......!!!!!

TWC keeps saying everyone goes to all rain but NAM and others seems to show all snow 95 northwest with 850s well below freezing and sfc temps 32-33 degrees which is fine for wet snow, disagree with NWS calling for 2-6" instead of 4-8", theyre horrible

You nailed the start time Frank. Flurries started here just before 1pm and has been increasing in steadiness since then to a light steady snow now. Looks like I may be in the jackpot zone for this storm.

Wow, huge dry slot over PA. Not sure that was modeled anywhere. Like my update says though...round 2 should be impressive once the LLJ gets going. However, this maybknock down snow totals N&W of NYC. Still early though. We'll see how we look in a couple hours.

Unless that radar fills in quick over Eastern Pa, snow will shut down up here until round 2 starts. That would cut down accumulations up here at least 2 inches.

You want a bad omen for a snow storm?? The sun is currently shining through the clouds here right now as it's lightly snowing. If that doesn't show the decrease in ascent then I don't know what would. Really not liking this at the moment, but I'm hoping it starts going the other way.

they popped out a little weather statement and i can see why, it went from light to moderate real quick and it dumped a coating already.

Moderate snow here with a dusting, sad that the dry slot may cut down totals for NW areas, but I'm not surprised.

Just goes to show in spite of model analysis that may look good, you are never sure until the storm starts and look at the radar. We still may luck out if it fills in or stops in Eastern Pa.
Light snow, wind blown, visibility dropping.
That NWS update seems to think Orange County will get moderate snow after 2 PM.Let's see how that works out.

Started coming down @ 1:20 pm, and within 10 minutes became so heavy that it almost looks like fog, not snow.
Temp was 9 degree at 7 am, is 29 now.

Precip streaming in from the SW now. This looks good. Getting moderate snow here now. While N&W areas may miss out now, the lower end of their ranges should still be reached.
