This is the typee of system I hate. The good ol' "oh it will be a coating" then this morning to wake up seeing forecast's saying it will be more than expected. Oh well, at least no work this weekend and just relaxing at home.

It's actually possible some of us change back to snow overnight. But probably no more than an inch to accumulate. Roads in the morning will be bad.

Is that due to the storm moving NE and pulling colder air back in?

Re: Updated Final Call Snow Map, Observations Thread 2/21-2/22
Just got back inside, still seems to be all snow here, maybe some pingers mixed in, couldn't really tell. Light snow now though. Measured 4.5 on sidewalk where snow had a little bit of trouble sticking earlier due to salt, so it looks like I have 4.5"-5" new snow.
During my walk I discovered some spots with a 16" snowpack, no drifting, wow!

Technically, we're cold enough for snow now but there is a shallow warm layer between 925-950mb. The heavy precip actually helps the warm air in this case with a southerly wind. As the storm pulls away, winds should shift from the north again.

But I keep repeating we've had 54 inches of snow this season so far, so why am I complaining.
Very disapointing to say the least, but right now I have heavy snow falling. On radar it looks like it will be
ending soon in my area.
