With a HP in place this could have easily been snow, looking at the NAM I can see how cold air is trying to dam in with the storm deepening and pockets of cold air aloft forming but the surface is just too warm from the primary and no HP to lock in the cold we had. Frusturating.

I'm with ya syo. This winter has been brutal for snow lovers. I'm in the Mid Hudson valley enjoying a January day of 38* and rain with only 1.5" of snow and sleet so far this year. Just awful.
