July 1st 2016 Severe Threat Observations

Sun out and not a cloud in the sky, crazy weather.

Heavy rain here, nothing exciting, hail reported in Mahwah, about 10 miles NW of me.

Round 2 incoming here, getting dark.

Errily quiet and breezy with dark clouds in yonkers. Watching line to west see no svr with it but it could develop its very humid.

A steady rain now nothing crazy and yes its very humid and muggy

Yeah dud again never comes together as usual.

we just had very heavy rain for 25 mins some lighting and thunder now its a light rain

Beautiful evening now that the storms have passed. Sunny and 70.

Just got real dark in Stillwater, thunder, very quiet, temp just dropped 7 degrees, looks like round 2 but shows very little on radar!

Little rain then it blew over, but someone is getting it good, lots of thunder!

Warning for NE NJ, cell headed right towards the city.

Looks like it may move from jersey to just north of NYC, but it has been changing in size and intensity but whoever gets that cell is gonna get romped. It quite dark clouds here can still tell even in the twilight. We had a amazing tropical extremely heavy sunshower earlier.

There is a cell moving north into the city area but that one doesnt have a warning. If that one in N jersey holds together warning wil llikely be extended over the hudson.

Ya its really cool, just blew through here some decent winds and very heavy rain, no hail thank goodness quarter size i can do without. calling for water spout possible off montauk! Looks like cells are merging and some are now coming up from the south.

Another heavy cell is about to move in so much lighting

Severe thunderstorm warning is in effect for north of Manhattan ,the Bronx and parts of Queens

That cell shrunk at the last min, Yonkers look to get hit hard. According to radar most of the bx missed out. Clipped northern part. I was in the car at 233rd st it was pouring but seem to drive out of it just south.

..maybe not, now a  bunch of hail, briefly.

I am in yonkers, but saw no hail. I expected this afternoons to be it, lightning the best at night.

Wow the lighning is even more frequent now, seen several cloud to cloud bolts right overhead. Odd though no thunder.

That was a quick burst. Yeah the lightning is extra impressive at night

pouring rain and impressive lightning. just drove through it on hutch 25 mph max. hutch not flooded yet. storm looks to be moving away quickly now. we really needed the rain!

Yes that's where the front is currently located. when was the last time we had three lines of thunderstorms come through our area

the second line we had was much stronger than the first one I was driving on Pelham Parkwayand part of it was under water it has been a while since we had 2 heavy thunderstorms come threw I must ended up with 1 half of rain we def needed it
