CP..I hope you get an answer. I have asked 3 times what the difference was between the NAM and PARA Nam and I got no takers.

Thanks Taffy, so it doesn't get buried here I'm going to switch it over to banter. Great having you back on OTI. loved the Betty Boop, classic.

When you say better does that just mean inland people or the whole area?

Re: March 14th Godzilla Discussion Part 2
Wow, major changes aloft on the GFS. Everything trended sharper. HOWEVER, it's still chasing the convection a bit. The precip field looks incorrect. It's a huge trend though. I think it'll finally catch on by 00z tonight

Yes.
I will have a first call map with a writeup out by 7-8pm tonight.
I want to hold a chat at 10pm (since models come out much later now), but I need to wake up at 5:30a for work on Monday. The GFS won't start running until 11:15-11:30. I am thinking of having a lunch break chat tomorrow from 12pm-1:30pm.

GFS looked like it slowed down some Frank. Big improvements in the upper levels for sure... just didn't quite catch up on the surface yet.

Re: March 14th Godzilla Discussion Part 2
It appears a trend has been going on since 06z this morning of slowing down the southern shortwave and deepening it. This would have huge implications and allow a better chance of cutting off south of our latitude. Fantastic improvements occuring

Absolutely. I liked the run.

I'm beginning to think the ceiling is 18-24 inches with locally 24-28 inch snow amounts over a certain area which I haven't figured out where yet. But let's make sure we can hit our ceiling first. This is a bona-fide strong Godzilla. Not quite the Roidzilla...yet.
track17 wrote:So skins that looked good for us or bad ?
Gave you 10 inches

Re: March 14th Godzilla Discussion Part 2
Hey guys seeing the way this storm looks to be shaping up finally convinced me to stop lurking and join in on this discussion of what could be an historic storm.
I live up in Hopatcong Sussex County, I noticed it doesn't seem like any of the regular posters here are from the NW corner of the state. So during the storm I will try and post updates/pictures as it all plays out.
That RGEM map looks fantastic, still a bit concerned with some of the issues being discussed here but overall it seems like we are starting to come to a good consensus on a significant event occurring. I am very excited!
