We appear to be near the record high water level in #Red Sox Suck. However, it is within a few tenths of an inch and this will need to be confirmed with the NOAA's National Ocean Service (NOS) @noaaocean before we can confirm or deny whether the record was tied or broken

Wow Red Sox Suck suburbs really under water. All over snapchat. Cars almost fully under frozen ice.

Here in East Hampton, NY the intensity of snow definitely diminished over past hour, and avg depth outside of drift areas as of 1:15 PM is 11.6". Everything shut down.

This is one insane band that doesn't want to quit I have two foot drifts eyeballing 10 in with seems pretty accurate Central Park is at .72 le with ratios that should be about 10 in waiting for their official report

State of Emergency called for all of Westchester County NY. Unless your essential you cannot be on the roads, they will pull you over.

Yeah I see that!! We were down to light snow in Deer Park but the band seems to be moving from west to east and we are now back into moderate snow. Hopefully those yellows make it here.

I was trying to check flight status of incoming flights, one got diverted to Detroit, a few others in the air still scheduled to land. Probably closed airport to departures. If he does get in, he may not be able to get home!

Poor Doc, misses the LI Blizzard and now gets diverted.

Al you are the man you stayed mainly quiet as you knew what was coming, isnt this awesome! Yeah band not quitting flakes got bigger, just saw news BRP SMRP and Hutch may close for snow removal. As posted above S of E called.

Snow has tapered to flurries here. Still blowing and drifting. Final tally will be between 5”-6” (unless I get another unexpected burst). I said the other day, and to Frank this morning, if I get 3-6” I’m happy with this one. I got the high end so count me happy!

...HEAVY SNOW INTO THIS AFTERNOON...

At 12:45 PM EST, a band of heavy snow extends along the Hudson
River corridor down through the New York City Metro. This band has
been nearly stationary over the last hour.

Snowfall rates of 1-2 inches per hour will occur at times.

Winds in excess of 40 mph are possible in this band, causing some
downed tree limbs and possibly wires as well.

Visibilities may drop to a quarter of a mile or less at times,
producing occasional blizzard conditions.

Travel is not recommended.

Good eyeball measurement Doc, I just took the official and I measured 6.2 inches. Even if we don't get another inch, and I think we'll end up with 7-8, no complaints from me.

Still heavy snow but not as heavy as it was.
