Living in NYC this seems inaccurate.  Go figure.  We're now in between the two bands (the first that sat over NYC for several hours). This is the lightest I've seen it snow since I woke up this morning (about 6 AM).

The Park had 7.8" at 1pm. I would think another 2"+ fell. We'll see at the next update

Of course it's inaccurate because it never is accurate because they just don't give a SH!T. I checked with a guy I know that lives near the Park and he said it was 10 inches at 1 PM.

Worse though is LGA reporting 5.2 inches at 1PM. They must have measured and divided by 2.5

Been snowing hard for over straight 12 hours in Bayville. I'm measuring 18-22" all over my yard, 25" in the drifts, 16" in the low spots. Wind has been ripping for a few hours. Can this storm finish up like the champ that she is and get me to two feet...?

Greybeard nice picture. Snow intensity let up a lot. Doesn’t look like too much more heavy stuff coming in. Maybe another inch. I’m going out to clean up my house and a few old timers in the neighborhood. Shovel no less. I’ll try to measure but I’d say right about 18” will be. Good final total.

I guess my measurements weren't too bad considering the wind!

I will admit the winds impressed me. I did not expect it to be this windy. But when you have a rapidly intensifying cyclone off the cost (dropped 50mb in like 8 hours or something like that) then that should be expected.
Hello> Some credit here? Oh nop but I am alllways wrong LOL totally kidding. But in all honesty I was on pt when I asked bout them, i wasnt expect the models to verify verbatim but overall we saw 50-65mph gusts so the map did verify in many places.

thanks for posting...I measured in different spots..the car is next to the boat and is protected and was 11.5 inches..(and spot on side of house 11).other spots in the yard have 1/2 inch....and my neighbor had a drift prob 3 feet and then a cleared sidewalk....(my friend in town's husband said a we have over foot...) shrewsbury on your list was 10.8 so I am no so far off on my calculation of 11-12 inches...

I just shoveled. We had about 5.5" here and it was a dry snow as it was about 22 degrees through most of the storm, but I have to tell you, it was still heavy. It was while shoveling that I remembered there are, minor, benefits to being in the more moderate zone of the storm. Still good snows, but less shoveling.
