I certainly hope this month ends better than it's beginning. It can't get much worse, can it?

57.7° here, cloudy. I must say I don't mind a little warmth today as I'm going into the city again. But wind is picking up, temps will drop throughout the day, makes it challenging to choose what coat to wear!

I’m so disgusted with this past month that I’m taking down everything Christmas related today including my huge light display. I want no memory of December 2018.

Think about this IMBY we have had 6” of rain in the past 2 and a half weeks. If just 1/3 of it was snow it would have been 2 feet. 6” qpf during prime snow time of a “great” winter And not an effing flake

A JMan type morning here. Winds of 15 mph with gusts a 30. Winds have picked up in the last hour. Hoping they die down by this evening - it’s recycling night in my neighborhood and that + winds= a mess.

The Twilight Zone of the winter of 2018-2019 continues.53 degrees after a soaking rain on New Years Eve.Partly cloudy, howling wind.Just awful.Reminds me of the song the British Band was playing when Lord Cornwallis surrendered his troops to George Washington at Yorktown in 1781..."The World's Turned Upside Down"! Make it stop somebody, PLEASE,LOL!!!

Very windy here and looking forward to the pattern flip next week with hopefully some light wintry precip Thursday and possibly Saturday in the NNJ LHV areas.

From 33& rain - can we shift this about 20 miles SE??

The 12Z NAM says i may equal my entire December snowfall Thursday morning! Only problem is my snowfall was about 1/4".

I do see potential for 1/9, but it will depend on where low redevelops and how deep it gets. Really hope we catch a break soon.

As a result expect a period of light rain/snow to develop in NYC where temps will be more likely to be above freezing, and light snow elsewhere that may transition to freezing rain toward morning as temps aloft warm more quickly than at the surface. Snowfall of about an inch is possible across a good deal of Long Island and southern CT. Areas that could see a light glaze of freezing
rain during the transition include most of Long Island and NE NJ mainly west of the GSP.

December finished above normal - to the surprise of no one - by the way.

It was expected to be a cold month, but because of the *unexpected* factors (MJO) we spoke about ad nauseam, the month finished well above normal. While this pattern will continue into the first 5-8 days of January...a reversal is expected.

You TRIED to get me excited for an inch of snow possible tonight but I didn’t fall for it. Look at Uptons forecast now. WE CANT EVEN GET AN INCH WITHOUT TEMPS RISING AND RAIN TAKING OVER. I’ve lost all hope

Nice early November morning! 36 and no wind. Only weird thing to report is trees are devoid of leaves. Kind of early for that.

Checking in from South Florida. Currently 85 degrees. Hoping to come back Sunday to news of snow on the way! I've had enough of the humid warm weather here lol

Was down there over New Years and it felt like July. Could never stand it for long.

37.4 with rain.

Chilly for late April.

Hard to believe on January 5th my low for the season is 4.8 degrees reached on November 23rd.

Speaks volumes how cold that air mass was and how ridiculously mild it's been since mid December.
