About 45 min ago the storms came through Chester Co outside Phila. I am there. Heavy, intense. That’s what’s coming

My 98 year old Mom is living in Fort Lee in the family home of 62 years.I would stop off at Hiram's for a dog, fries and coke back in 1968 when I delivered flowers for Hoebel Florist on Main Street on Saturdays and Holidays in High School.Looks like you are in the Horizon House towers from that view looking west. When we moved to Fort Lee in 1956 and I started school at Public School 1, it was a little country town.Your magnificent pictures show the changes .

Re: June 2019 observation and discussion
A lovely 54 degrees this morning. Today it is cool due to clouds and a nice breeze but it is 81 out there. Surprisingly cloudy and overcast here. Doc, do you feel the sun like I do? Yesterday was a lovely day but standing in the sun..man, I was melting. It seems the sun packs more of a wallop when you're old.

Re: June 2019 observation and discussion
Nice T-storm tis morning awaoke me at 7AM!!
Humid conditions this week argghhhhh!!
oSem saying July and Aug look to be war with spasmodic cells of heat. Quite possible but low solar doing some dirty work over the Greenland and Pole regions.
Geopotential heights are high over teh Pole regions which woudl mean a N to BN AO indicy and kick the NAO in teh same direction. The humid conditions are about all the wetness and soil content moisture we have in our ground so that I believe will be the big hurdle this July/Aug couplet - 85* day may feel like low 90's with all this wetness.
EPO WHY NOW???

NAO

AO

All that orangy color means heights rise this warmth forcing teh cold air to drain to the surface
Solar just ended a 36 day spotless streak!!
2019 total: 109 days (62%)

Re: June 2019 observation and discussion
Had a heavy rainstorm at Citifield, they put a dangerous weather message on the jumbotron and asked people to move into the concourse. I saw it coming about 15 minutes out, grabbed some food and drink and grabbed a seat in the Jim Beam club before it started raining and everyone came running in
Had a 1 hour 40 minute rain delay, they lost again....

Re: June 2019 observation and discussion
Those pictures look similar to the ones from my neighborhood in Commack. I've Never seen so much damage from a 10 minute non-tornadic storm. News said winds were 50 mph. No way that could be. Trees were dropping left and right. My entire neighborhood was isolated due to trees blocking roads. Just insane

I got caught in that storm it was nasty 1/4" -1/2" hail pounding my Pick up Truck, watched trees topple over like nothing. Scary as hell, car in front of me had a tree limb slam into its side window. Should have stayed where I was till it blew over.
