Quite a line coming through. Crazy temp drop after it. Reports of very high winds along with the line.

Definitely a major squall line rolling this way; extends from SC to upstate NY. Expecting the thunderstorms to roll through my area by midnight. Winds already kicking up ahead of it. Storms moving northeast from the Baltimore area look particularly nasty.

Why do I get the feeling this squall will weaken significantly by the time it gets here ?

Rare to see such a steep temperature gradient: Temps in Western PA now in the 30s, while in the 70s in Eastern PA and N.J. The temp map shows that gradient in a straight north-south line dividing almost the whole Eastern Seaboard. Some snow in Ohio now too on the backside.

43* and Clear. Freeze likely tomorrow morning. And if I didn’t have to rake leaves yesterday, I do now. Yard is covered with them. Guess I have my Saturday activity now.
