Ratios weren't as good as a lot of people thought. Probably 12:1.

NYC report .6-.7 of liquid equivalent and 5" some how lmao..

CP...my guess is the zoo keeper was too cold to measure

My call from the other fay looks pretty good except for the HV

CNJ, NNJ, NEPA 5-9"
NYC in 6-10"
Nassau, W Suffolk, NJ shore, HV (HV due to ratios) 7-12"
C and E Suffolk 8-14"

Right on for me....Mahwah NJ, 5 inches total.

Watching the radar last night, I saw the heavier snow going south and east of me.By 11 PM, I figured I'd be lucky to make 5 or 6.Glad to see the folks south and east of me get double that.

About 5 inches of snow in wappingers. Snow appears to be winding down. Currently 0.7 degrees. I hear its too cold for salt so they are switching to sand.

7.0 inches, very light snow, 0.7 degrees

NYC report ridiculous as always, I have noticed this year the NWS has adjusted those totals, sometimes a day or two afterwards. Of Course the TWC will report all day that NYC got 5.0 inches of snow when it's probably 8 or 9. If they know the person measuring in CPK is incompetent why do they continue. To early to get worked up about it.

All of the snow fell here with temperatures between 2 and 8 degrees, Honestly I expected a little more than 7 inches but I probably got there with about .3 qpf, so I suppose I can't complain.

They just updated at 7am. Which means they're saying 2.9 inches of snow fell in CPK between midnight and 7am. With the heavy bands they were under from 2-4 am there is now way they that happened.

Newark airport where they measure correctly had 8.5 inches. That's 6 miles away. It's been happening for 30 years at least, trust me.

Every 7am report out of NYC is between 8 and 10 inches. Except of course the zookeepers 6.0. Why do I let it bother me?

They reported heavy snow for at least 5 or 6 straight hours and added on 2.9 inches lol

Just shoveled out the property.Nice, fluffy light snow to work with.Bitterly cold, some light flurries.Wanted to get the job done before the winds pick up as the storm departs.

Your right its doesnt make sense..look at other NYC reports
Beford Park, Bx 9.2" @ 5am
Riverdale, Bx 7.5" @ 5am
Bergen Beach, BK 9.3" @ 4:40am
Sheepshead Bay, Bk 8.5" 5:30am
South Ozone Park, Qns 10.5" @ 7:10am
LGA 6.9" @ 7am
Woodside 7.8" @ 5am

Central Park 6" @ 7am ??

Just north of NYC
Scarsdale 8.1" @ 5am

To the west..
Newark 8.5" @ 7am

Everywhere in every direction has more snow at earlier times than CPK

Measured about 8" at about 6:30 am been mod snowing since and now very heavy over Wading River. Temps 14.7*. CP you crack me up dude. Lol.

Morning Doc. This band is taking forever to move out. Mod snow and blowing snow...11.2 degrees now. 8.5 as of 730am for me. Prob end up with 10. This snow is higher ratio then before as so it seems. Imagine we had a 20:1 ratio snowfall throughout this event lol. Still thinking it was about 12:1 for most of the event.

Can't argue with that. Looks like the edge of that band just moved out to my south, but I bet you and Alex are still getting pretty heavy snow. Another little band looks to be flaring up over the North fork. I hope that rotates through. I will be interested to see how NOFO did out east. Unfort I still have to head out to work. Enjoy the rest of the day folks. Issss cold out dare!
