Man accuweather has a crazy night for me although I think their numbers are off. 14 degrees = 20:1 ratios 15:1 to be conservative, 26mph sustaine winds 58mph gusts, coastal flooding and 4-8 inches (this is where I think they are wrong).

ALSO, the LONG ISLAND EXPRESSWAY will be SHUT DOWN at MIDNIGHT tonight in NASSAU & SUFFOLK Counties.

nws just update totals. they are about the sane 6-10 inches area wide. however they went up by about .1 in liquid to between .6 and .75 area wide. my question is shouldn't snow totals be higher than what they r forcasting with the ratios being so high?  im thinking more like 10-15 area wide

888 you make sense but we don't know what the big guys are doing or thinking at NWS. We will have to see what final calls they make maybe they are waiting to see the whole precip filed fill in.

Me either. It's so, like, standard and computerized. You'd think being who they are (most watched network) that they would really invest in their maps.

One thing we should appreciate with this storm is that we have heard no mention of mixing. THANK GOD. Hate worrying about that R/S line in NYC.

10 degrees and still snowing lightly, from the radar it looks like I'm about to get into the more moderate stuff, from the north and west.

At these temperatures which are only going lower, I'm sure a half inch qpf will give me a foot of snow. Now hopefully I get at least a half inch of liquid.

CP how far are you running below guidance right now in temps? Seems like all over FB people are running below on temps.

I'm running 6 to 8 degrees below what was forecast right now. It's been dropping slowly all day. I started the morning at 14.6 it's now 10.0
