Nice Mets win. Cuddy got the game winning hit. This lineup is much better when Herrara and Travis are in the lineup. Niese pitched a good game. Nats just lost. Mets are back in 1st place lol.

You hit the nail on the head with Travis.We desperately needed his bat.Liking Cuddyer more and more.Good defense and nice steady hitting.Glad to see Niese hang in there and do better.Yeah,lol is right, back in first place.Pretty damn nice being almost June 15th!With Herrera at 2nd, I'd use Tejada at third instead of Campbell.Campbell can't handle the position, makes a lot of errors and incapable of turning DP's.No good!

Dan Warthen working with Matt on his mechanics to correct the pitches that are up and flat and to get that slider and changeup working again.Sounds like a logical move to correct the mechanics which seem to be the problem.Maybe Matt is having trouble adjusting post Tommy John.Looking forward to his next start to see if any progress is made.

Dan Warthen has been a shining star on our coaching staff.Our pitching has been stellar.Love his comments on Bartolo.He just "lets him go out there" and not much else,LOL.The crafty old timer Colon,love him!!!

The old timer Colon guts out his ninth win, tie for the most wins in the majors.All this talk about the young Mets staff and who is leading the pack but a 42 year old crafty old fox.Nats lose and we get a little distance up in first place.Thank God they never traded Colon last year. We would be reading of his 9 wins on another team and we would be in third place.

Damn shame Familia was off because of the birth of his son.He would have won that game for us leading 3 to 1.Glad he stayed around Friday.

This Robles guy really stinks, wouldn't use him unless we were ahead by 5 or 6 runs.DeGrom pitched another gem.

A slugfest, but you've got to win those.This team can light up, that's for sure.Travis returning is vital.Read they are using Plawecki as a backup and sending Recker batting .131 down to Vegas to get in more at bats.Makes sense with Plawecki batting .213.Poor Gee was booed off the mound.This crazy rotation is not helping him.Spot starting must be a beatch.........

Makes sense.If they want to trade Gee, he's got to put up better numbers to be of any value.

Doc, when the Mets were trailing this afternoon when you and I made a quick pass through the bar, you used some profanity in frustration.  Boy did that turn around!

Mark Buehrle is throwing a perfect game against the Mets through 4 innings.  And Syndergaard is on the mound just like last Tuesday when the opposing pitcher was Chris Heston, who no-hit the Mets then...

Great outing by Harvey. Torres almost blew the game but Parnell saved the day. He lost a few miles on his velocity but still throwing in the low 90s with a good curve.

Yes, Snow, the great theme of that game....redemption! Harvey and Parnell.Nice to see Matt get his great stuff working again.A masterpiece against one of the powerhouse teams in baseball who were red hot.Parnell did bail torres arse out and great to see him do his thing.A great piece for us down the stretch to give Familia more rest.

The old baseball corollary that is etched in stone.... " Good pitching always shuts down good hitting" was demonstrated by Syndegaard and Harvey.Good work Dan Warthen getting Harvey back on track.It's not physical with Matt, just getting his head straight.Keith mentioned John Smoltz had said adjusting after Tommy John takes time.

Gonna be a blast the game Colon VS RA.Two old crafty dinosaurs throwing junk.Gonna be a riot seeing the young Mets hitters deal with that butterfly RA throws in.A must see game!!!!

Niese held them to 3 but the Mets couldn't score against a tough pitcher.Poor kid from single A got his arse kicked.That did wonders for his confidence.Dumb move bringing him up so fast.

Old RA dominated the game.Sloppy play by Flores missing an easy line drive opened the floodgates.Ron D mentioned you can't give a good team more than the standard 27 outs.Nats really sucking wind so this Atlanta series is key as I think they are a better team than the Nats right now.Anyway, the NL East is a bunch of weak sisters so we do have a shot at the playoffs with the All Star Game rapidly approaching.The Mets did ok splitting with the hottest team in baseball.

Well,disaster on top of disaster.Familia not well, Lagares not well and now D'Arnaud goes down again.This team has the worst injury record I have ever seen watching baseball for 55 years.Don't see how this will be patched up.Hopefully Parnell can step up for Familia.Lagaeres not 100% is bad.They can bring Recker back up but he and Plawecki come nowhere close to D'Arnaud's numbers.

They are a mess. And Collins keeps putting Campbell at third and it's a disaster. They better get their act together by Sunday, I have tickets and I think Niese is pitching

I feel bad for Collins, though, trying to plug up all the holes in the dam.Agree on Campbell, he's got to go back to triple A.Murph is supposed be back Tuesday so there will be the third baseman.The coaches have got to work overtime on Flores' fielding.He can hit but loses too many games with his sloppy defense.I think he can work through it and we need his bat.

If a total collapse comes, and I hope it doesn't, it has been a great run,in first place for a long period of time.If Wright, Lagares. Murphy,D'Arnaud and Familia were healthy, I think we could have made a playoff run this year.Now, I really don't know.
