Mugs I listen to his daily video every day. I particularly love how He points out the sun and all it’s nuances every single day from the solar wind speed variations to the density of the wind, phi angle etc. what better way to educate yourself than to observe it yourself every single day with someone much smarter than me explaining what I’m looking at literally every single day. I still have a lot to learn and still don’t understand it but the daily education has def really helpful. Of course there is all the extra cool stuff he talks about. His plasma cosmology video blew my mind. He has so many great videos.

Absolutely and I am buying his book. The Galactic Sheet and Nova series of videos on Climate Catastrophe is unnerving but so interesting and informative. Yes, I have learned so much over the last 4 years watching his daily and topicsal videos. Great stuff.

What peeps do not know is that universal, planetary alignments and cycles with their own gravitational and natural cycles have an affect on our planet BUT we always try to us other means to say what it is.

Ugh, this brings back memories of the 35 years I lived in my Mahwah NJ Home.Back pack blower and rake .Put them on an old blanket, horse it over you back and walk them to the street.Luckily no bagging required. My 75 by 200 foot property with huge oak trees took 8 or 9 hours to do.
When I was a kid in the 1950's living in Fort Lee, we raked them to the curb and burned them. The whole town smelled that wonderful smell of burning leaves.
Got a much better idea Greybeard than this guy.Merely have a lawn service cut your lawn weekly and do the leaves in the Fall.I did my time, and at age 70, would never go through this again,LOL.

Re: Banter Thread 5.0
Doc, I remember those days. Ditto on the smell of burning leaves. The worst part of the job these days is the bagging IMO.
Now that I am retired for the past 8 yrs. I treated myself to hiring a landscaper. But when he told me $250 for the fall cleanup it just didn't sit right with me. I took on the task today with the tools you mentioned and collected 5 bags of leaves from the front and back. So at his rates that's $50 a bag. I mean the lawn was covered, but like the guy in the video said "it's all about the air, you have to get rid if it". I'm right behind you at 68 so I can relate. Funny thing is there are no trees on my property, the leaves come from my next door neighbor. I told him he can come and get 'em anytime he wants. The guy is my hero,92 yrs. old and still does his own landscaping
PS-Belated birthday greeting on hitting the big 7Ohhhhh.

Great video GreyBeard and great tips. I thankfully have two young and strong men who have been doing my leaves the past 8 years here sometimes with me helping. Not looking toward the day of having to do this myself. I have 3 oak trees on my property from a mere 9 when I moved in - 6 have died, I use to spend 4 hours on a Saturday blowing leaves back in the day now I have a push blower I got 4 years ago and a commercial back blower that I bough t at the same time and it takes my sons all of about 45-50 minutes.
Another tip on a breezy day - depending on the direction I'll blow my leaves in that direction which is towards the street - live on a corner so I have 2 directions that mother nature provides with.

Re: Banter Thread 5.0
Backpack blower, into the woods. Works great. Tractor has a bag on the chute. I get a huge bagful or two front, then back. I take them into the woods. The cut ones do not blow back.
The ones in the woods are lower by 10 feet so they do not blow back. About five days @ 5 hrs per day. The last rain and winds took anything left and blew them outta here. Anyone who does leaves over the years sees her or his technique evolve. Home Depot 50 to 1 mixed gas, Sea Foam Green fuel stabilizer. Works great for use and storage over the winter and summer. For touch up in Dec or Jan with no snow, a self-propelled lawn mower with a bag. I am thankful I can still do it as in still spry.

I've read this thing like 20 times over the years and every time I do I'm still just as fascinated with the synoptic analysis of the Boxing Day Blizzard of 2010. I've been in some good winter storms over the years, but this one is probably the most intense I've seen. Especially if you were in the NY metro area.
NWS did a fantastic write up of this.

Frank that comment about the unhealthiest ingredients brought to mind two funny bits.
First, is from Redd Foxx;
"these people, they jog, they go to gyms, don't smoke, drink,no ham and eggs, no butter or biscuits, because they want to LIVE...
"They're gonna feel like damn fools lying in the hospital dying from NOTHING"
Two is a bit from the old Groucho Marx TV Show:
This starchy old woman with a pinched face, librarian type, is a guest.Groucho says, "well, tell us about yourself Madam"
She says "Well, Groucho, I have NO vices, absolutely NO vices"!
Groucho replies..."then why do you wake up in the morning"?!!!
Enjoy your casserole Frank and to all a Happy Thanksgiving!

Yes, Janet, my oak tree at the end of my driveway dropped nothing this season. However, I was told by a horticulturist who used to be on the site, that it means nothing as to the severity of the winter.
My old home in Mahwah were I lived for 35 years, had 3 huge oaks with others in my neighbors yard.I would hear the acorns banging off my roof and my van's roof in the driveway. Some years the entire ground was covered.

I think no acorns will put a dent in the chipmunk populations which I believe benefited greatly from the mast year a few years ago. Sure is wild. Some years the ground is a couple inches deep with acorns. This year, nothing. I have noticed some black squirrels around. They are a first.

Damian, I would only see black squirrels across the river where my wife's late parents lived in Tuckahoe. That's interesting they got over here.
When I had my little bass boat on the local lakes, you would be hearing acorns dropping off all over, some in the water. Some years, that is,LOL.
