Re: January 2021 Observations and Discussion
if you believe the most recent NAM DC is going to break the snowless streak in a big way. WAA gets up to Mason Dixon Line and then dries out. So you get good snow up to Mason Dixon Line and above route 80 for an inch or two as the ULL swings by. LOL!!

Re: January 2021 Observations and Discussion
Today's 12Z model suite so far Has brought the upper level low South somewhat increased QPF Which raises snowfall totals especially areas North and West of the city The R GEM being the most liberal with precipitation and the nam having next to nothing. Although the 3k nam looks good. Maybe the Northward trend has ended and now we will shift Southeast with the upper level features and hopefully increase snowfall totals for tomorrow

LMAO! Yeah if someone wanted to create an absurd snow map specifically to make us miserable, this would be it. And alas, here it is. The only saving grace is nobody is really "cashing in" in a big way on this so it doesn't sting too bad.

It was a balmy 9.5 degrees this morning. Wood stove is the saving grace for happiness when there is no snow.

Haha, this made me laugh out loud.
My apologies for closing the storm thread. I unlocked it so we can carry on tracking. It does look like a solid 1-3/2-4 inch event for many on the board.

Doc and CP Frank makes this decision like it was a simple one. We got into a brutal rock em sockem fight to determine "weather" or not to open back up the other thread. I believe someone caught it on their phones video feature and posted it on you tube. It was quite the fight actually

Yes, a TPV lobe is coming right down the shoot. Should lay down a nice antecedent air mass.

MOMMA MIA THESE WIND CHILLS FRIDAY MORNING!!
A piece of the polar vortex has decided to visit New England this weekend, and it will bring apparent temperatures below 0° F on Friday morning. Let’s all give it a warm NYC welcome! pic.twitter.com/wKX448xU20

26* and Partly Cloudy. Cold out there but this will actually be the warmest morning for the next several days. In fact High temperatures tomorrow and this weekend may struggle to top today’s lows. That arctic air is paying a visit and today is its arrival.
